Some questions about Passing:
1) What is nearly the passing distance for normal, medim and deep passes? 2) What means pass randomly? Is this about 33% of each for a long term? Or is this calculated with the Int and Strength of each QB? 3)Example: If I want to throw only deep passes, then I only can write specific lines into my offence playbook. Right? This lines have to contain the distance to goalline and the formation that I want to play. So finaly I will get a very big playbook. Right? Or is there an easier order possible? The distances were 1st down yards for the pass, 10 - 15 or 20 yards for medium and 15/20+ yards for the deep setting.
As for skills, IMO pass vision and agility as a base, then intel to avoid interceptions. The stronger your QB the further he can throw the ball. Dont forget the speed WR to get downfield in time. The playbook pass settings can be set as pass/medium/deep regardless of distance to the goalline. Im not sure how the engine would run a 2nd and goal deep pass though. |

I know the distance for "pass" is suppose to be the distance to a first down - - so I'm curious why my QB always seems to throw a 1 yard pass?? Is he checking down to a easier/closer target because the other receivers are covered? Steve SD Blitz |

So pass over the middle is longer than 1 yard??

Steve
SD Blitz There is no way to s e l e c t screen passes. The QB decides this. behind LOS = screen LOS + 10 = short Admin wrote:

In addition to pass targets there are several types of passes: screen, short, medium and deep passes, and each of those can go to the left, middle or right side of the field. This was posted by admin in another thread. mike Does it say somewhere how long short, medium and deep passes are? I don't see how to s e l e c t screen pass. Also, how do you s e l e c t targets (RB for example?). LOS+10 - LOS + 20 = medium LOS+20++ = deep |

So if you've selected "pass", how does a QB s e l e c t screen pass over short pass? Is it passed on direction? coverage? QB vision or intelligence?
IMHO, screen passes don't seem to be particular good option. Minimum gain and still a pretty high chance of being incomplete. Steve SD Blitz |
