I can see a list of threads. I can see the name of the person who has made the most recent post in a thread. I can click their name and be taken to their profile. I can see the time stamp of when they made their last thread.
I want to be able to click that time stamp and be taken into the thread, to exactly their post. As it is now - I have to click the number the corresponds to the last page of the thread, and then scroll down to the most recent post. Thank you for considering my suggestion. Fish |

I think the better option would be to be able to go to the next post you have not read yet. But I think that may be a function of the forum software. I've been on some forums that have that functionality and others that don't.

That is not possible without wasting huge amounts of space in the database, since I would have to store this relation for each single manager & thread, so manager * threads is the number of rows I would have to store. |

Maybe a solution would be to order the postings from bottom to top?
Then the newest entry would always be on top of page 1! |

Just let me click the time stamp Scroll me down to the proper post...
I think you just need to put anchors in your HREF tags, populate them dynamically from the dB easy peasy OH .. we could get really fancy and when you mouse over the time stamp we could execute an AJAX call to retrieve the first 255 characters of the posting the time stamp represents .... Or.. just let me click on the time stamp .. scroll me down to the corresponding post... Fun game you have here Pete. |
