This feels a bit buggy to me - maybe it's something not implemented yet....

here is a key play in overtime from my last League game:

3:13 2 and 4 to go on own 42, Frederic Müller (OC) snaps the ball to Ralf-Dieter Kaiser (QB), who hands off to Sandro Targamadze (HB/C), this seems to be a run over the right end, Tommaso Lanham (DE/L) breaks through, Karl-Ernst Schmidt (TE/R) blocks, Sandro Targamadze (HB/C) fumbles, the ball was recovered by Tommaso Lanham (DE/L) (Big I formation vs. 4-3-4)

My team scored on the ensuing drive to win the game. The problem is that Karl-Ernst Schmidt clearly missed the block on my DE. But here is Karl-Ernst Schmidt's blocking stats for this game:

Karl-Ernst Schmidt: 8 Good Blocks; 0 Missed Blocks

I believe I have never seen a Missed Block stat for any FB or TE, but we see many examples of plays where DEs break through, get "blocked", and make tackles. I felt this was a pretty clear example.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if I'm right, but I think the comment does just mean that the TE blocks ANY opponent, it hasn't to be the DE who breaks through. So it would be possible that he (the TE) had a good block in that situation.
But pete has to confirm since I'm not sure if that's correct

I never looked at it that way! Still - seems odd that in 109 games, my TE Mohammed has 270 blocks, and 0 Broken blocks.

His blocking skillset is not impressive: Str 37, Block 17, Footwork 14, Positioning 12.

We do not record broken blocks and that TE blocking yet. This is why you won't see them in the stats. Much more the TE is part of the blocking scheme, and makes his block. In the engine this block just slows down the attacking defender, it does not stop him completely. This is the reason you won't see a pancake here too. I guess I need to answer a question to myself, when considering a block to be "missed". So it is a little bit between a bug, a flaw and "as it should be".

That was what I thought!

I learned to ignore blocking stats for FBs and TEs.
