Wolves 31 : Academicals 14
After a tight first half the Wolves pull away with ease, and the Accies left thinking what could have been ............. if they had spiked the water or supplied industrial strength bran cereal instead of porridge to the visitors touring chefs.

Broncos 10 : Turtles 35
Like all pests, the Highland Midge is never around when you want them. Somebody gave them the wrong start time for the game and they only turned up at the second quarter. Before their arrival the Turtles QB had passed for 279yds and 4TD’s. After he experienced what all first time visitors do, and got eaten alive despite layers of clothing and oodles of repellent........in quarters two, three and four he passed for a total of 118yds, 1 TD and 2 Ints.

Wolves @ Turtles
Which way is the wind blowing today? A tough one to call as the two undefeated go head-to-head. Perhaps it depends on which quote the Head Coaches end their pre-game pep talk with:
There’s the Wizard of Oz - “I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore”,
The Godfather - “keep your friends close, but your enemies closer”,
Top Gun - “I feel the need, the need for speed!”
But it the cleverest might be to combine a couple of Dirty Harry quotes:
“you’ve got to ask yourself one question, do I feel lucky?” and of course - “go ahead, make my day”

Wolves by 5, no Turtles by 5, no, wait, take the binoculars and get a look at those...........

Wolves 41 : Turtles 45
Whoa ho ho!
The Turtles come from behind twice, then score 21 unanswered 3rd Quarter points, which should be enough to win any match. But NO! the Wolves come back take the lead again, and the trophy was all theirs - the engraver was warming up is fingers, the ribbon cutter was cutting ribbons, and then Boom.......... with the clock on 36 secs left in the game:
0:36 2 and 10 to go on own 21..... the receiver of this outer left pass catches the ball, the complete defensive backfield is missing the tackle opportunity, this was a 79 yards pass (Goalline O vs. 4-3-4)

Actually it's obvious that both Defences were AWOL all game, they decided to get to the post-game party early and partake of the Whisky the Wolves had acquired on their road trip to the Scottish Isles............ and who can blame them!

Many congratulations to the Turtles, and thanks to EVERYONE for participating. Until the next time.......

Congratz to the Turtle!
But that the trophy room of the Wolves is still empty is simply a shame
