Here is the game log from a game last night. There were 4 field goal tries at the end of the 2nd quarter. The bug isn't that they attempted the field goals. (that were missed:wall  The bug is that after a missed field goal from more than 20 yards, the ball is placed at the spot of the kick.
0:16 Laverne Metz (K) kicks the ball for the Fieldgoal, 65 yard Fieldgoal missed 0:10 André Horn (K) kicks the ball for the Fieldgoal, 62 yard Fieldgoal missed 0:03 Laverne Metz (K) kicks the ball for the Fieldgoal, 65 yard Fieldgoal missed 0:00 André Horn (K) kicks the ball for the Fieldgoal, 62 yard Fieldgoal missed Link to the NFL rulebook: http://www.nfl.com/rulebook/fieldgoal |

So? snap from opponent 48 - kick from own 45 - missed - turnover - own 45 becomes opponent 45 for the snap - kick from own 48 - missed - turnover - own 48 becomes opponent 48 for the snap Looks good to me. |
