The teams in the playoffs, and particularly those in both and who go deep, end up with a monster financial benefit and also get full experience benefits.
As for comparisons to the NFL, all teams get 20 games including pre-season and then at most they get an extra 4 games if they make the playoffs. So this is a ratio of 20:4 vs 9:5. AND the NFL has a salary cap as well so any financial benefit for playoff teams is greatly negated anyway. I like the post season setup for those that are a part of it. We have a "Salary Cap" as well, since you will hit a point where you cannot pay a full developed roster anymore. And, kicked-off teams can have friendlies with some income (around 45000 tickets) each Tuesday and Saturday...
