How about expanding the RB stats a bit?

I'm thinking about additional stats like Longest Rush, Rushes for 1st Down, and maybe Broken Tackles.

it's always bothered me that receiving has a longest category and rushing doesn't

I like your idea. I suggested another umpteen stats additions, such as Teams' turnover ratio, thrown TD passes (in HoF), fumbles forced and recovered (also HoF), etc.
