What are your general thoughts on energy substitutions? I know some want to change the way they are set up, but I am focusing this on how to use them the way we have them now. Do you guys just use the default of 85%? Anyone go lower or higher? What have you noticed about the performance of players and player substitutions. I'm trying to also figure out if you set the % higher will the players start shorter and shorter rotations?

Normally I stick with 85%. If I want a good start than I lower the percentage. For a balanced performance during the total game I increase the percentage and my stars will get enough snaps at the end of the game.

i tested the do not sub untill the start of the 3rd Quarter in todays league match up with a team 5% better than us. The sub %ages were set to 70.

We gave up lots of points in the first half, but seemed to perform much better in the 2nd half.

another note is that my team lacks starting quality depth. most are quite balanced around the 15-19 mark on skills and some are lacking in balance.

Based off one game i would suggest not using the whole half, but mabey a quarter instead. This depends on the strength your team has in depth chart of course.
