Why do we have the option to play in Relaxed mode during postseason games? I don't think it's a viable option, it only helps managers to tank their games if they want to, and in the postseason nontheless is where your team will never want to play in relaxed.

This came to my mind after beeing eliminated from the 2.1 bowl game by the Terrapins and receiving a PM from that team owner (Sorry for the incofidence) asking if I played in Relaxed mode do to the fact that in the overall rating my team was slightly better. I told him that, no I did not played in Relaxed mode, and I also told him that aldo my overall rating was a bit better than his, that is not a determinating factor, or else we wouldn't be playing the games, and would basicaly base results by ratings. Anyways moving on...

Now today was my relegation game, and it was against a team with a slighty better overall rating than mine, so I thought, man I really have to gameplan well if I want to move up to 1.1 next season against this team...

What happened was a blowout win for my team, now I have no idea if that team played on Relaxed mode or not (My guess is they didn't), and if they did they were entitled to it since it's a viable option right now, but should it be in the future? I don't think so, it only helps teams to tank games in the postseason, because let's face it, what is the percentage of teams that will play on relaxed in the postseason if not to tank games? Possibly 1%, a team that faces a bot in the lower leagues, that's it, and even than I wouldn't risk it.

I said this previously in other threads, and will say it again, I have nothing against teams that want to tank games to drop divisions, it's their choice really, but if you reach the postseason you shouldn't have the option to tank a game by playing on Relaxed mode, if you want to tank it, do it using a diferent strategy.

To me in the postseason it would just be the option of playing in the Normal mode, no Relaxed mode and no MOTY either.

No.

Managers should have the option to play however they see fit.
If any manager wants to use 'Relaxed' then I don't see a problem.
It's supposed to be a Management Game based upon making choices .... restricting choice is the wrong way to go.

I get your point, but don't think this should be considered an option in the postseason. Managers still have tons of options without this one, this option to be used in the postseason is only there to help to tank games easier, if a team want's to lose on purpose they still have options to do so, no need to have Relaxed mode option in a postseason game.

So .. what exactly does removing the Relaxed option for post-season achieve?
You've said yourself that Managers can still tank easily by using other methods ......... it looks to me as though you're removing the cyanide pill from the suicide-risk prisoner, but still leaving him with the knotted rope ........ don't be surprised to check his condition in the morning and find him hanging from the rafters looking somewhat lifeless

^^
That, and it makes no sense in my opinion, to have a team play a postseason game in Relaxed mode. MOTY would be unfair (and I'm not suggesting it to be an option), but would make more sense than to play a game that is either, win or go home in Relaxed mode.

Leave it in there. Its a lazy way out of organizing a play book and depth chart so that your kicker (not yours I wouldnt risk hurting my $23m kicker by throwing him at QB in a tanked game) is throwing long bombs to you super slow OL at WR.
