I've noticed this before, but never decided to start a thread about it.

My problem is with the plays that take over 30 seconds. If a drive comes up on a play at :30 and my end of half/game is set to kick a FG if the time is less than 30 seconds, then I'm not going to get that FG off.

Since, tempo is on the To Do list and changing the code to make all plays take :25-:29 seconds may be a pain in the ass, I suggest changing the timing in the playbook to <= 35 seconds (or whatever the max play time is) rather than <30 seconds.

Are you sure about this i.e. that you have not simply missed the text for the last play (as always happens)?

Have an example?

No it happens pro time to time that the last play is played somewhere under 00:40 and before 00:30.
If you have a last second FG in your Playbook with 00:30 or less as a rule, hat FG will never be kicked.
I'm not sure if this suggestion is a valid workaround for that problem, since it only happens from time to time and second, it might happen that there then is time enough for your opponent to counter again.

I think as long as no real clock management is in the system, it should stay as it is. But thats MY take on that.

For example.
0:33 1 and 10 to go on opp 14, Emilio Mansfield (OC) snaps the ball to Stepan Katerynchuk (QB), who hands off to Ivan Melnychenko (HB/C), this seems to be a run over the left guard, there is no SS who could tackle him, finally he gets tackled by Lubor HolĂk (FS/C), forward progress: 12 yards, New first down (Big I formation vs. 5-3-3)

End of the 2-nd Quarter!

Sounds like we need a change from <30 to "last play".

As we all know the aim of this play is to get the game clock to 0:01 so that the FG can be kicked and the opposition do not have time to get one final hurrah in.

As kick off returns are limited to 25 yards and (without checking) take up to 10 seconds off the game clock maybe we could add 15 second intervals to the final minutes play instead. I'm at work so havent checked anything here.
