I would suggest the following:

Sorry, but no.
You have to wait till the transfer period is over, and fire him then. Some managers are waiting how a bid war is developing, it would be just unfair to revoke the trade-offer |

But if no one has bid on him why not. Then if some one would fire him just let the player run his TM run. But the manger then would not receive any money if some one would bid on him before his time was up on the TM.
But I do agree that you should not be able to take a player off the TM |
