just wondering what you guys thought about this scenario. Lets say you have a starting qb that has full intel and excellent physicals; but you wanted to swap for one that was a bit older; put the younger one as a second string and make him the starter again in a few seasons when the older one retires or gets to a point where hes too old to worry about; but you have to deal with the 10 percent team chem; being 1 game out of a 5 way tie for the final wildcard spot with 6 games left; would you:
A) Make the swap for the older one B) Not bid on the older one at all C) Get the older one; but make him a backup for the younger one |

I think I'm doing the same thing as you - looking for vets to cover for ~2/3 seasons until my younger players develop. I'm just throwing them in straight away as I'm not convinced TC has a big enough impact to wreck your season. But if your worried about it I'd still buy the vet and play him in SC and friendly games until his TC goes up. Then he'll be ready by playoffs.

I picked up a few vets in the early seasons and played a deeper depth chart. That way all my guys improved in TC and EXP...
Bottom line there is no right or wrong answer... its just what you prefer |

I'd play the veteran in SC, etc until RZAMS said he was better than the present starter due to chem.

RZAMS allows you to weight skills any way you like and then come up with a way to rank players at the same position. It also factors in EXP and Chem if you wish (in a default way i.e. programmed in by devs) and so you can see the effects of both of these.
I have a WR with 43 chem that comes up as the best WR with the chem box unchecked (i.e. chem not factored in) and as the worst when I check it. |
