Not real important but thought I'd mention it.
Am ranked 7th in my league. Am undefeated (big deal) Have best PD in league (big deal) Have beaten 2 teams above me (but this one's hard to ignore) 
I think it needs a new title because I thought for quite a while that it was were you'd be playoff wise if the season ended today. Of course though, it is only a global rank comparison of all the teams in your league. Interesting but misleading. 
Maybe a heading like - "Global Rank League Comparison"? |

Nope its based on several scenarios.
Win or Loss Points Difference Team Strength Difference Active Opponent or BOT Home or away and probably Petes random factors as well because he likes those. So far you haven't played anyone anywhere near as strong as your team so you will pick up fewest points. If you lost one of those games you would see that you would lose more points than others as well. |

I too was a little confused by the terminology at first.
Just like Hosh, when I first read "rank in league" I though it was like a league standing thing that showed your actual rank in the league. Like what seed you would be in the playoffs, that sort of thing. I think the term "power ranking" might be a little better and less confusing. All football fans know that a 'power ranking' is more subjective way to rank teams based on more than just wins/loses. Fairly trivial issue though. I think most people figure out it's more like a power ranking than a league ranking in fairly short order. |

I generally don't pay attention to them....for a reason why I don't here is an example.
Early in the season I was ranked like 3rd maybe? had a rating of 55+. I played someone who was close in ratings, a good team. I won a close game and dropped 13 rating points and several rankings. They confuse me and don't play a role that affects my team, so I just ignore them. |
