OK, there's no such thing as a TM in the NFL ...... but one possible way of looking at it, is to check the figures that teams must pay each position for a 'Non-exclusive Franchise Tag' :-

Quarterback: 14,896,000
Defensive end: 11,175,000
Cornerback: 10,854,000
Wide receiver: 10,537,000
Offensive lineman: 9,828,000
Linebacker: 9,619,000
Defensive tackle: 8,450,000
Running back: 8,219,000
Safety: 6,916,000
Tight end: 6,066,000
Kicker/punter: 2,977,000

Obviously, this tells you more about what they're paid (on average) rather than what they would be worth if there was an NFL TM .... but maybe the ranking would be very similar ?

If there was a Ranking by position in RZA (Draft players on the TM), say what order (most expensive to least expensive) you think the Ranking would be ........

p.s. - have NFL never heard of Gunners/Kick-Returners and Special Teams CornerBacks ?? ... they've obviously never played G*I, more fool them

p.p.s - if you designated all your DB's as 'Safety', then played some as CornerBacks and took the hit for out-of-position penalty , just look at the money you could save

QBs might actually be the least valuable players on the TM. You can pick up a draft QB for $10 mil.

Draft K/P are surprisingly expensive, and OL also seem to go for a fortune.

my guess or what i think is highest/lowest demand/value or what you will call it is with the most valued at top...

1. LB
2. DL
3. OL
4. CB
5. WR
6. K/P
7. SF/TE/FB
8. RB
9. QB

Depending on how much these draftees will get their int lowered, then maybe ppl should value 50int QB a little more then they do today.

When I did the analysis for Pete as he was looking to prove / disprove theory of placing a transfer value relating to skills and age per position it was:-

1, LB
2, CB
3, QB
4, SF
5, RB
6, FB
7, OL
8, DL
9, WR
10, K
11, TE
12, P
13, G
14, KR

I'm surprised at how low OL (7) and WR (9) are.
However, there might be a simple explanation .... I think those two positions are the ones where most Managers are specifically looking for high physicals (OL - Strength, WR - Speed) ..... so very fast WR's and very strong OL's don't often get sold ... the Managers prefer to keep them.

13th/14th - Gunners/Kick Returners .... do they still exist ? I thought they became extinct around the time that Dinosaurs disappeared off the face of the Earth

I think with the new free agent market that list went through some changes. Well apart from G and KR being dead last on it lol

To be fair, the defensive players are all inter-changeable. A defensive player with Int 50 would probably top the list to play at LB regardless of what position he is when listed.
