If we are going to have stupid QBs that don't know when to pass long/med then it is clear to me what the pass long/med option should be - it should be a play where the QB throws either long or medium! And the % chance of comp/int should be realistic.

This has obvious use as -

1/ 3rd down passing
2/ Late half/game passing
3/ Tactical desire to throw over a good LB core, toward not so good SF/CBs and take advantage of a good OL/FB that can buy the QB time.

Unfortunately, atm all the above are out the window.
