But a silenced crowd at Hall of Fame Stadium after the first quarter of play found the Mascots down 0-7 as the Undertaker 21-0 struck first blood. The Mascots never lost their resolve and retained total focus, as they scored the next six times into the second quarter and throughout the third. Into the half was a 53 yard pass, a 10 yard run and a four yard run to give the Mascots the halftime lead, 21-7. Mascots then came back onto the field in the second half, and kept the ruthless Undertaker offense silent, picking up two more touchdown runs finishing three quarters of play, grabbing an even bigger lead heading into the fourth quarter, 35-7. Undertakers never stopped bringing all they had to get back into the game, but the steel wall of the Mascot defense wouldn’t allow it. The Undertaker managed to get a touchdown run for two yards after a grueling drive in the fourth to get seven more points, but the Mascots never looked back to bring the Grey Goose Trophy home, winning 49-14. Impressive for the Mascots was their 32 1st downs, 583 total offense yards with 265 coming from the ground and 318 from the passing. The Mascots owned 59% of the clock, and had both QB’s at 50% passing. The Undertaker was held to under 200 total offense yards with only 68 on the ground and 123 from the air. Hands of glue from WR Fidel Biobaku and WR Gyogy Huszar for the Mascots were critical to the passing success for the Mascots. Fidel grabbed seven passes for 105 yards for two touchdowns, and Gyogy grabbed seven passes for 99 yards and one touchdown. “RZA stats put the Undertaker at 62.1% team overall and the Mascots at 59.6%, so to see the Mascots do as they did was a great feat without a doubt.” Bob Peterson, RZA’s statistics division manager was quoted as saying after the game. “Absolutely, a very successful event here in Atma City” said Xenos owner Xeno72, “more merchandise from the Undertaker and Mascots was sold in this game than we get in four games!” Xeno72 smiled. Atma City Journal wishes to congratulate all teams that participated in the very first Grey Goose Invitational hosted by Atma City, and truly hope to have you aboard should the Invitational continue. A greater congratulations goes to the Free Agent Mascots for their fantastic tournament play, and their bringing home the Grey Goose Trophy.
