We have injuries., However most of them are very short term, which is good, but I would like to see it more reflective of real game scenarios. Meaning some out for the year, some career ending. maybe randomly 5 players a year will suffer career ending, maybe 25 season ending and 200 with out for 4 to 8 games. thrown in randomly. Throughout all the leagues.
Another situation I don't see is penalties. I think penalties should be thrown into the mix. According to the experience of the players and the quality of the coaching staff. A player with little experience, will be apt to error, a team with a head coach of 60 will not be as disciplined on the players as a coach of 90. A team that is paying high dollars for coaching, loses on money for players, I think that a team without coaching would commit more penalties. You could also include coaching experience into the equation on how many penalties a team will commit, again this should be random. |

For long term injuries, all proposals got shot down by the community so far. I gave up mentioning it.
For penalties, we had that as testrun before, and it was no good. Once you introduce penalties, you learn very fast that there is more to it than just stopping the clock. Penalties have a tactical element as well. So you would have to have some control over it, in the playbook, or matchsettings. And when I wrote down all the dependencies, and put the result in terms of realism and fun on the other side of that table, I learned very fast that the effort needed to implement it the right way do exceed all the fun out of penalties, by far |
