I agree that a one game warning is enough. It is surely almost impossible to have these kind of gameplans by accident? So to repeat that is entirely your own fault. So 1 game warning, if it is repeated then take the draft picks, and fine them 50% of their current bank roll. That should be sufficient, and perhaps presents less of a coding problem than the attendance punishment? 50% of bank roll should be a good incentive. Other penalties could include: No draft picks No YA players A ban on accessing the TM These could all initially be for a season but could be extended for serial offenders. Why not just instantly perma ban every manager who selects 'relaxed' in the game settings? |

Why not just remove 'relaxed' from the game settings?

I'm assuming the last three posts were all jokes, but there are very good tactical reasons why you would play relaxed in a game (and still expect to win). Especially in combination with MOTY.

I use relaxed in all my friendly games.
Go find something else to "fix". |

If you are doing this and/or your sex is offensive they will take away your draft picks and close your stadium. Along the same lines anyone that doesn't use MOTY first game of the season should also be penalized. After all they are guilty of not doing everything to play the best possible available to them in that first game if they do not use it. Just as never playing younger players will negatively effect your team in the future it is no excuse to play them over better veterans giving the absolute best effort regardless every game. The future negative effects of MOTY is no excuse not to use it. I'm sure all of those that define tanking is ever not playing your best possible lineup every game use MOTY first game each season. To not do so would make them a hypocrite. |

In many games that I played in earlier seasons, teams did the same thing to me to build up their defensive players exp by not putting their offenses on the field. Yes you will loose, how ever you are allowed according to the rules to loose 2 games via bad playbook calling IE Tanking as you will loose. Then there are beneficial reason as well to not winning. Teams have always benefited from this in the past as well, though in past years it would not of benefited me. This year you made rules with strict limits to bad play calling, I only took advantage of those current rules that are in place, as I assume others will as well. I feared this sitation. A couple of seasons ago, many team were tanking. Some of them were part of the greatest teams in Elite or 1.1. The result is now new teams think it is OK to tank and even that is is a condition to be part of the greatest teams someday. Worst, they think like you it is unfair they can not tank as easily as before... But tanking is not only taking advantage of the game to its own benefits. It is also steal draftees from teams that needs them more, lack respect to the opponent and disadvantage the teams who do not play the tankers in the season for the play-off run. I am very grateful Pete took action to slow down this trend (and the training system abuse in the meantime) and that he is still open to make it even more difficult to use this tactic. Let's not forget the warning is here to advice new teams using PB that they are on the wrong path. It is not an allowance or a free shot to trick the game... |
