I know I know, you guys missed my unusual good looks and uncanny idiotic sense of humour along with trolish posts...well I had some time today so here...

Adjusted Net Yards Per Attempt and Adjusted yards Per Attempt, have you heard of them? Yes, No? Not a big deal if not, if yes then you know what this is.
What's the goal with this? Well I setup a spreadsheet with these stats that I will briefly explain bellow because I thought it would be interesting to do a small research on who has the more valuable QB of RZA. These stats I gathered will help us (or not) to reach that goal.

Click Here To Go To Spreadsheet. But first read the info please.

Rules:
1. Only League Games are Used.
2. All QB's Must of played in at least 70% of the League games to qualify. (currently that's 9 out of 13).
3. Same league will be compared to same league (i.e. 1.1 Fire QB's compares to 1.1 Dragons QB's and all other 1.1 QB's; 2.1 Galaxy compares to 2.1 Seadevils QB's and all others.)
4. All users are welcome to try it out even if their QB's don't qualify.

Basic information on Adjusted Net Yards Per Attempt, or ANY/A.

Adjusted Net Yards Per Attempt: is defined as an explanatory passing statistict, one that is very good at telling you the amount of value provided (or not provided) by a passer in a given game, season, or career.

Adjusted Yards Per Attempt: It's a really handy stat because it encapsulates passing performance as a simple, single number, and better still, it's a rate stat.

Many football experts seem to think that these are better than Passer Rating in terms of their correlation to winning and losing depending on how well or poorly a QB scores on this stats.

I also added another one called, Adjusted Expected Points Per Attempt. What is this? It's a simple formula that calculates how many points a QB might be putting up per 30 pass attempts based on his Adjusted Yards Per Attempt.

Is it accurate?
Naturaly league wide averages would need to be taken in order for this to be 100% accurate, also naturaly that ain't happening. So instead we use what I found out through reading some football blogs, and use their own calculation based on the 2012 NFL season. Another thing we don't have is sacking yards, but we do have how many times a QB was sacked, so I simply used an average of 5 yards per sack and that's that. I know I know it's accuracy at it's best...

How do I plug my QB stats in the sheet?

If still there's doubts shoot me a PM. Think that's it, oh and be sure to brag how well your QB did if that's the case. Mine is already there...can't say he did too well...

Also, if the sheet for some reason doesn't seem to be working properly PM me as well, I will see what happened.

Click Here To Go To Spreadsheet.

EDIT: Don't forget to u p d a t e their stats after either regular season game or in the end of regular season. That would be awesome!

EDIT II: Since we still don't have an average or a season list, here's the NFL Rank for 2012 for ANY/A and AY/A.

I would use that... I really would... but I know every game I lost this season My QBs have thrown +2 Ints in the fourth quarters.... thats the only stat that really matters to me...

Ok. So you have Tony Romo. But you could still see how he scores against everyone else. It's for fun man. Give it a go.

Added my QB in.

Might want to add a League column, so you can sort / filter by league

You can add as many as you want. Even if they don't qualify. Right now 9 games are needed to qualify, in the end of the season 11 games will be needed for a QB to qualify.

The goal here is to have as many QB's in there as possible so we can create an average rating in each of the three Metric stats. That will give us a better sense of what's valuable and what's not. Naturaly I will only use QB's that qualify to do the average, but you (and everyone else) are welcome to plug in stats from a non qualifying QB.

Don't forget to u p d a t e their stats after either regular season game or in the end of regular season. That would be awesome!

You better believe it! Specialy when you can't see them play. MAkes statistical data that more important. And thanks.

Added the ANY/A and AY/A NFL 2012 leaders list to the OP. Just to have something to look at for now while we don't have any seasonals list.
