Many things have happened over this weekend that could be discussed/debated - the shocking hospitalisation of Gary Kubiak of the Houston Texans, as he suffered a minor heart attack whilst on the sidelines..........the story coming out of Miami of racial slurs and locker room disharmony.......and the injury suffered by Aaron Rodgers, adding to the Packers ever growing injury list.

But the question this week surrounds rulings - and is as follows :

Which rule would you like to see changed, (re) introduced, or totally deleted for the benefit of the game.

To my mind, one thing that sticks out that i would like to see back is the force out rule. I think if a pass is completed and the receiver is in the air, he should not allowed to be pushed out of bounds and therefore the pass ruled incomplete.

A reduction in the number of clock stoppages for ad breaks....

With them now taking time to review every scoring play, and using that as an extra opportunity to cut to ads, it's starting to drive me mad.

Get rid of all those ridiculous "unneccessary rougness"-penalties.
A lot of those calls are really pussy-like. Yeah, it's all about protecting the players, I get that. But when the D-Liner just barely touches the QB after he threw the ball, and gets a flag for rouging the passer, that's nuts!
It's no wonder, that the record books for Passing-records are rewritten very season. The defense is forced to play touch-football!
"Defenseless receiver"....
Brandon Merriweather somewhat had a point, when he said, that you have to end people's careers now. You have to go low, because high hits are likely to draw a flag.

I was going mad from excessive commercial breaks before they started doing that. Now its just a joke. I had to invest in a DVR.

That's one reason I love the red zone channel. 6+ hours with no commercials!

I could stick with Tombking. The roughing the passer is too often flagged too early. The same for running into the kicker. but this isnt really a rule change more a decision change by the refs.

I still dont like the rule which cost the Patriots the game vs the Jets in overtime. Cause if you call this pushing from the second level at special teams for the player protecting you have to throw a flag too when another offense player pushes the Ballcarrier to get more yardage or go in the endzone. from the player protection view this is completely the same case.

What I like this season is that there arent so many pass interference calls and even more offensive pass interference calls. Last season the defense pass interference was nearly inflationary.

Another rule they should change or better change the penalty result was one in the patriots - dolphins game.
-G.O.A.T- was sacked by the defense and the defense player pushed the ball a bit away. without this pushing it could be a turnover or if the pats recover the ball a 3rd and 18 or something like that. Because of the flag (which was right) the pats got a new first down + 15 yrds from the line of scrimmage. so this was a 23yrd penalty or from the recovery point after the push something around 35-40 yrds.
So give the offense the ball back and a new first down if the defense pushes the ball but not these extra 15 yrds. because of this play the pats gone from midfield to the redzone of the dolphins.

There's a difference between which rules we'd like to see changed.. and the refs making really bad calls.

There's nothing we can do about teh bogus roughing the passer calls. It should be more judgemental and penalties enforced based on nature of the hit.. but the rule itself will NEVER go away in this day in age.

One thing I've said forever. I dont give a damn about field goals... No team should win by kicking more field goals if the other team scored more touchdowns. I say put a limit on how many FG attempts a team gets a game. I say you get 3 attempts.... so we can stop seeing all these powder 50yd FG attempts and having teams give thought to 4th down.
