Steve Young QB SF 49ers
Took over from Joe Montana (not just anyone could take that job!) Steve Young threw for 29,907 yards, on 2,400 completions in 3,648 attempts, a 65.8% mark. Young's yards per attempt of 8.2 was also extremely high. He threw 221 touchdown passes and had only 86 interceptions. |

Despite the troubles lately on D for the Patriots (Having their top 2 DTs + top MLB gone for the season, and their 3 top CBs out against the Panthers), I'd have to go with John Hannah.
Arguably the most dominant offensive lineman in history. (Record for team rushing (3,165yds) still stands from the team that had him + Leon Gray + Russ Francis ... would argue the only guard/tackle tandem that came close was Gene Upshaw + Art Shell) Odd trivia bit ... that 78 Pats team that put up the team rushing record didn't actually have a 1,000 yard rusher. Didn't seem to matter who they lined up behind that side ... they were pretty much guaranteed 4 yards, and was one of the first examples of a large "by committee" backfield. For my Detroit Lions it would be Barry Sanders - no need to explain why.
