Yep, I'll be doing some Power Rankings for the league this season. Simple stuff that I used for the PAN Cup. What does it use, you ask? Offensive and Defensive yards gained and allowed on the field, that's it. I told ya it was simple. Nothing fancy here (aldo it does require some work to pull the data). Anyways, week I is done, naturaly with one game in the books the sample size is as microscopic as it can possibly be, but don't worry, with time it should all start to make sense...or not.

I also added the rankings for Pass Offense, Rush Defense, Pass Defense & Rush Defense. It's something that I already had setup aldo we have access to them by hovering the mouse arrow on the team name in the league standing page, reguardless I will post those too.

Note:
Maximum Power Points Possible = 64 points
Minimum Power Points Possible = 2 points

P.O.R. = Pass Offense Ranking
R.O.R. = Rush Offense Ranking
P.D.R. = Pass Defense Ranking
R.D.R. = Rush Defense Ranking

Magpies lead the pack in Week I...but it's too early to tell who the heavy favourite will be based on this PR. More to come in the next weeks.

Hahah 32nd run D after finishing the season as one of the best run D last year and only losing my 5th LB to retirement

I know it's only one game and I've played against the defending champ who destroyed me but just wanted to point the extreme out.

Good job as usual Canonico, I enjoy reading these and hope you'll keep doing it for the entire season

Still real early on, but so far Portlanders suprisingly leading the pack by overtaking the Magpies who last week were ahead. Naturaly there were alot of movements happening from week I to week II. It's only natural because with only 2 games played things are still very closed amongst many teams, with time we should see trends happening.

I think I'm the most improved team of the week. I went from 27th to 6th

Lol, normal, only 2 games played. For this sort of thing to be accurate (in any way) the more games played the merrier! More sample size. But I think #6 is actualy a solid spot for your team. Let's see how it goes the rest of the way.

fwiw I think 6 is a bit high for my team. Roma and Dynamos are better than me in my conference. Then Blue Bulls is probably a bit better too so that makes me #4 in my conference at best because Cardiac Jacket and Lambrusia aren't bad either. Add another 3/4 teams from the other conference and I'm probably closer to 10 than 6 but I'll keep fighting

It's all proven on the field. So far and taking into consideration only the yards allowed and gained you rank higher than 10th. Naturaly this is a short sight because turnovers are a huge part of a football game. But for now this PR does not account for that. Aldo I plan on trying to add to it in a near future. Same goes for the Yards to points relationship, you may have a team that is putting up 500 yards of offense a game and averaging 20 points a game, while one that is putting up 300 yards can average 30. It's all a bit debatable, but in the end it has some correlation to how strong a team is, because let's face it, usualy good teams prevent the other teams from putting up massive yards and also put up solid yards on their own.
