Talk of removing extra point
I'm open to see the replacement of this idea I guess...but I'm too traditional of a football enthusiast to remove something, even something very small. I will listen for the replacement idea, but I'm likely to sticking with the extra point kick after a touchdown. Your thoughts? Last edited on 2014-01-21 17:29:14 by Xeno72 |

Heard that today, and in our Fan group "Dresden Monarchs" there were many saying "keep it as it is", and no-one liked this idea

I thought that originally too. But then I read what they want to change it to, and I like it.

I say keep it as it is, yes they are boring most of the time but I remember the games where a PAT meant a win or a loss and it made a simple PAT the most intense part of the game.

Besides...what could they do, force a two point conversion after every touchdown?

So Goodell wonders if the league can add excitement by making some major adjustments to the extra point, suggesting perhaps making a touchdown worth seven points instead of six, with teams having the option to run a play for another point.
But failing on that play would cost them a point. Ditching the PAT I think Goodell just likes getting his name in the news. |
