Since we're almost done with season twelve and the prior thread has been dominated by us folks in 2.1, I figure it's time we got a 2.1 thread going up.
Anyway, first on the agenda is rolling out the welcome wagon for the new crop of teams coming in this year. Bot flushers are not included because we have no idea who they will be. Bots from 1.1 are excluded. From Dragons 3.1, welcome the following teams: Norfolk Breakers (45.3; entering via relegation) Las Vegas Rattlesnakes (47.1; competing for the bowl) Black Mountain Foxes (53.8; competing for the bowl) From Dragons 3.2, welcome the following teams: Green Eagles (45.7; entering via relegation) Fc Can CATzo Cowboys (48.9; competing for the bowl) MyDyingBride-2 (50.9; competing for the bowl) On a side note I sincerely hope the two teams from this crop that lost their relegation games opt in for the bot flush to remove the Dome Babbies and TRONQUITOS from the league. I will PM them at some point. From Dragons 1.1., welcome the following team: Nottingham Outlaws (63.0; entering via relegation) Congrats to the Dog Pound, for moving on up. They played a tough game to get in. Anyway, the bot forecast for next season is four bot teams, so we need a lot of bot flushers to come up in order to fix that problem. I hate bots a lot. I mean it. I despise them. Finally, a farewell to Watery FC, they were competitive in Dragons 3.1 when I played with them, and I hope they get their problems figured out and come back soon. Guess Im one of the team that got bumped up due to bot flushes. It's going to be a difficult one since there's a huge jump in skills.

Anyway, I don't expect anything from the draft, since it's a bad year for draft and that I have the worst pick order possible... |

The NC West is looking like the AC South did last season, dominated by new teams from division three, and wide open. The AC South turned out to be one of the strongest divisions in the league last year, so I think I speak for everyone when I say it looks like the most interesting division in the league. Speaking of my division, I feel like it's going to be murderous for the four of us, because everyone's back, nobody's gotten weaker, and every team was able to lay claim that they belonged in the league. The AC East looks like it did in season eleven, with GRAND4 coming back, and three tough teams returning to boot. GRAND4, I predict will be the whipping boy again, by the way. I'm looking out for the Scarlet Fangs and the Blackhawks this year as the two breakout teams. The Scarlet Fangs nearly made the playoffs with one of the lowest-rated rosters, so just wait until their weapons get better! The Blackhawks were great team-builders in division three for the time I was with them, so I get the sense that this tradition will continue and reflect here. Alright, it's time for part two of the season preview, let's start with the AC East.
On a side note, the entries will be shorter than last season's because I don't want to spend all that time again. GRAND4 (44.7) This team has experience in 2.1, going 0-16 in Season 11. It does not appear like this team has actually reached division two without using the bot flush. I don't think they belong here at all. Shape up or die. Horadada Blues (68.0) The knight of RZA gets back into the saddle. Personally, I see them as the team to beat. Without the crafty Kingfighters to foil everyone's plans, it would seem like the Blues are without weakness. Look out. Oxford Lancers (57.7) The Lancers won their relegation match (not surprisingly) to stay in the league for this season. Given the talent on this team, they're due for a better season- especially because they're no longer the bottom dog. Wittingstein Rebels (59.1) The Rebels are pretty steady, giving you a similar output every season. The trends are steadily rising, so maybe the Rebels will find the scales tipped in their favor? AC EAST PREDICTIONS: 1st. Horadada Blues (14-2) 2nd. Wittingstein Rebels (12-4) 3rd. Oxford Lancers (9-7) 4th. GRAND4 (0-16) The records are rough predictions. |
