I'm going to put this in Discussions because I think it needs discussed before it goes to Suggestions.

There is a problem with the Punt Coverage lineup. See this punt return today:

13:22 Norbert Lawler (P) punts the ball from own 26 for 53, Emil Jagodzinski (KR/C) is returning the ball, Ekevu Mota (G/R) missed the tackle,Humberto Flores (TE/R) missed the tackle,David Figueira (TE/L) missed the tackle,Fardden Jai (OT/L) missed the tackle,Henry Rodrigues (OT/R) missed the tackle, tackled by Norbert Lawler (P), this was a 42 yards return

Why are OL on the Punt Coverage team?! This is not how it is at any level of football! I will put some links below to pics of punt formations. Pay attention to the numbers. 40s & 50s are generally LBs and 20s & 30s are DBs. These players are there to slightly delay the punt rush and get down the field for the tackle.

Cowboys vs Falcons - Odd formation, but same players

Chargers vs Steelers

These 3 pics really screwed up the spacing on the page, so I put them as links.

Cowboys or Lions vs Giants

I agree although I don't find it to be a big deal. This formation was discussed extensively when Pete introduced it. What came out of that discussion to my memory was "Just max those physicals cause that's what matters most on special teams."

So you are saying we should be training OL & TE in Tackling as well as Blocking, Footwork, Positioning, Agility, Catching (for TE)?! No.

The Punt Coverage team is a defensive team. The Punt Return team is an offensive team. Unfortunately, I don't see a way of seeing which players were on the field for the Punt Return team.

Well Pete just overhauled that formation so I doubt he'll get back around to it anytime soon. To me 3WR is more important (just a selfish wish)

Can you point me to the discussion of this formation? I would love to put some players who actually know how to tackle on the field when tackling is the most important aspect.

Pete said that the main tacklers on the Punt team are the G and the TE. G are fine so an easy fix would be to just use STT instead of the TE as the secondary tacklers.

Such a logical change as these guys are your Special Teams tacklers ...

Pete wasn't having any of it though for some reason.

I see the same problem with 40-50 yard returns and a lot of TE & OL missed tackles.

I guess the question is, are you just better playing some defenders in STBL?? Maybe you'd still see some 40-50 yards returns - - its just the nature of the algorithm. Perhaps your returns would suffer?

STBL don't play in the punt formation ...

Edit - or are you saying they should ? If so that's reasonable. Either way the TE should be filled by a ST player of some sort.

You mean they're grabbing directly from the OL/TE depth chart?
