Right now we calculate the players salaries based on their highest skill, except a few skills. I would like to change it so that the average of the 2 highest skills determines the salary.

Yes or no?

Result:

1.) Wages become a bit cheaper overall for all managers
2.) Managers a re a little bit more free to drive one skill high if wanted
3.) Doing the change before Season rollover means it is effective from the new season for all NON HR managers
4.) HR managers can then renegotiate after season rollover. If they don't their contracts keep the negotiated level - even this makes no sense from the money point of view.

Examples:
Player A: Skill 1 @40, Skill 2 @40, Skill 3 @30: (40+40)/2 = Average for further calculation: 40
Player B: Skill 1 @40, Skill 2 @20, Skill 3 @20: (40+20)/2 = Average for further calculation: 30

u p d a t e 1: changed "except" to "instead" in the poll description, added examples

Can't see much of a disadvantage to it, so I say yes.

Similar to what I suggested earlier, so you know I'm all over it. I take it a simple average between 2 skills is just plain easier to code?

My only issue is that wouldn't this just add money to the game when you were saying in another thread there are too many billionaires?

That is true, of course. But the advantages are much heavier than this single disadvantage. I try to get more money out of the game besides the salaries, by having items like the Premium Academy as example. But again, good point

To be honest, I doubt that it'd add much money to the game. But it would open up some viable variations in builds.

Most importantly, with this format, a high AGI player might not be quite so ridiculously expensive if he doesn't have the other skills up that high. (something that newbies make a mistake of frequently)

Does this mean that STR/SPE will no longer be wage-free with that change?

No, the conditions stay as they are, so STR/SPE won't play a role in calculating wages

Fair enough, I haven't play the game enough to really understand the dynamics of it so I'll take your word for it

This, and easier to explain as well. It is not always about the difficulties of coding. I have to keep in mind I need to explain what I do to my managers. This is a limiter when it comes to depth
