So I was thinking I'd like to see some possible nation vs nation games, but the game is mainly from a few s e l e c t countries. So I thought perhaps at the end of the season there could be a North America vs The Rest of the World game (or series of 3 games).
You would vote for who you want to manage each team and they could then pick players from their respective regions to compete. The players selected wouldn't gain experience so there would be no benefit other than they could maybe have it as an award on their page. I guess this could be a bit complex to code? But if it isn't I think it'd be a fun thing to have at the end of the season for people to get involved in and keep those who are out of all competitions interested. Why just N.America?
If you add all the European flags together the percentage is probably higher than N.America (I can't be bothered to add them up but just by glancing at them they seem to be so). Also we have a couple of anomalies: Why is there a United Kingdom, plus England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland? If these were all designated as UK we would have a higher percentage than Germany and be second overall. The other anomaly is that we have a European Union flag but also have individual European nations (belonging to the EU). My proposal (maybe it should be in a separate suggestions thread) is that UK teams should have both UK and individual nation flags and that all teams in the EU should have both EU and national flags. I really like the idea of having a Pro Bowl Style Game. If Pete thinks it's doable and would be interested in doing it we can work out the separation to make it fair.
We have roughly 600 active teams in RZA so anything that puts 300 teams on each side would work. Whether it's the Americas vs the rest of the world or Europe versus the rest of the world doesn't matter much in the grand schemes of things. It could even be different every year. Year 1 - Americas vs Rest of the World Year 2 - Europe vs Rest of the World Year 3 - English speaking Countries vs Rest of the World Etc... |

Yeah there is no real need for it specifically to be NA vs everyone else. I just wasn't sure how to split it without it just sounding a bit weird. What these sort of things are good for is normally if one of your guys makes the team you do feel some sense of pride  |

What about a mini-friendly cup with 8 teams from the 8 regions?
One Fire team, one Sea-Devil team etc... 2 groups of 4 - Top 2 advance to the semi-final It could be played on Wed or Sun so no experience, no money involved, no need to make room on the calendar, just a bit of extra fun. |

That is something that may be interesting, but it isn't really much different and for those not involved it won't really capture their interest. |

But way more people would be involved, if it's only a Pro Bowl for all of RZA only 110 players (55 per team) will be involved, if it's an 8 teams tournament with the best players from each region we'd have 440 players involved. Maybe we could also make a rule saying that current Elite managers cannot manage the team so 8 different 1.1 managers would get a chance to play with the best players in RZA.

As i was reading this thread i thought regions, i'd follow this regardless of whether dragons are still in it. What about a limit on amount of players on elite teams and 1.1 teams?

Not a bad idea, maybe limit it to say 5 players from one team so it automatically limits it to 20 players from all 4 Elite teams which is not even enough starters for a team. Then the manager will have tough decisions to make. I like this idea a lot

Hey sorry I totally misunderstood your suggestion and I agree it's a good idea! I thought you just meant the beat teams from each division play each! Yeah, limits are also a good idea so more people are involved and take interest. |
