Today was one of the games I thought might be winnable when the schedule came out, but feared messing around with coaches and the two defeats in a row had damaged morale and TC sufficiently enough to ruin my chances.

To win so emphatically is a pleasant surprise!

Congrats. The first win in 1.1 is important!

Gotta admit, my team is looking pretty good so far despite my initial feelings. I made some small changes which ended up making a big impact so far. Moved my best player to DE (Khasib Ahmad) and hes performing very well so far. The DL has been brutal throughout the first 2 games.

I've also swapped in my backup QB permanently. I've been dreading this moment for a few seasons but it needed to be done. So far hes getting off to slower starts than Leonardo Key ever did but he seems to be performing better in the long run. A shame he'll only end up being a bridge QB for me as hes already way too old to rely on long-term.

Remains to be seen how it'll play out down the road though! 2 games is a pretty small sample size!

We'll see how it goes when we face each other next.

I think I'm gonna have to fire my first rounder too. He came from the 2.1 draft, but it's nice to see it's not just me that bungled the draft.

Speaking of the draft board, I noticed the 1.1 board is a LOT nicer than the last two 2.1s I saw.

I think I saw someone post recently that Pete had put some sort of increase into the draftees for this year, but is it also true that the 1.1 draft stock is just generally better?

no the stock should be the same for all leagues, randomness aside. but 'randomly' our draft just straight sucked this season. the only 3 guys i even remotely wanted went just a few picks ahead of me. i'm sick of putting hours into sorting and re-sorting these drafts to come away with some numb nuts that yellow caps at 37 spd.

Others have mentioned it, and I would agree that raising the physicals would have been better.

A draft WR with higher pos/agl/catch is nice, but if they still have poor int/spd/str they'll be looked at the same as they were before.

Let's not forget the draft is only one way to improve a team. The youth academy is still the best way to produce monsters and you still have the TM.

Yeah man I agree, and I love doing the draft usually. This draft left a bad taste in my mouth too. I've already sold off my R2 and R3 picks. My R1 pick is barely clinging to my roster in hopes that his speed caps late but im pretty sure he wont last much longer with my team.

I haven't looked at this draft board yet but if the physicals weren't improved then nothing will change. I don't even look at non-physicals since they're trainable.
