no the stock should be the same for all leagues, randomness aside. but 'randomly' our draft just straight sucked this season. the only 3 guys i even remotely wanted went just a few picks ahead of me. i'm sick of putting hours into sorting and re-sorting these drafts to come away with some numb nuts that yellow caps at 37 spd.

Yeah man I agree, and I love doing the draft usually. This draft left a bad taste in my mouth too. I've already sold off my R2 and R3 picks. My R1 pick is barely clinging to my roster in hopes that his speed caps late but im pretty sure he wont last much longer with my team.

I haven't looked at this draft board yet but if the physicals weren't improved then nothing will change. I don't even look at non-physicals since they're trainable.

I did look at it. Real monsters are available. And I am affraid some players will do anything possible to get them, including throw games...

Hahaha I'm gonna do my very best to win but I'll still have a single digit pick.

But seriously don't people/teams tank in real life for draft picks? That's not so egregious, I think.

I guess some teams does it. But I find it despicable. It is lacking respect to the opponent, the other teams in the league, the supporters and the organization itself. I can not imagine a true competitor stping on the field and knowing he will not play his best.

In RZA, it is less grave of course, but do it against be, I'll find you and burn your house!

Well, Cool-Runnings did it and they're in the Elite League this season. I honestly think I would consider it also if I felt my team wasn't capable of winning for a few seasons. That may even happen soon too. Half of my star players are retiring after this season and the other half are old enough to retire next season. If my team can't stay competitive when they retire I will definitely consider tanking.

I totally understand why its despicable and I used to agree with you. However, RZA is different from the NFL or real sports. Great draft picks in RZA can stay with your team for 10+ seasons. The whole goal is to build a competitive team for the LONG TERM. A lot of times tanking is the best way to do that. Its actually smart strategic thinking.

It will be an honor to compete against you, one of the Knights of RZA. Hopefully I won't embarrass myself...

I apologize to all for my rant about the draft. I'm sure I'll have better luck in the future.

I just do not see the benefit of tanking a season except maybe 20 millions and a couple of draft picks whiwh were not that great anyway until then.

You're also forgetting the CoC cup, aren't you? So, relegating gets you at least two good picks that season, two decent picks the following season, three playoffs matches, and CoC money. It adds up quick.

If you add up the money gained in sales of quality older players as well, you can stand to make a fortune from rebuilding a team while relegating.

I wasn't really factoring in money too much at all, but you're right. I think in the long run it will straighten out your finances and also net you younger draftees.

I'm pretty scared for the future of my team though. I have no back-up QB going into next season and my starting QB will be 30. I'm losing 2 starting LBs this season, plus my best OL. My only quality RB will be 31 and all but 1 WR and DT will be in their 30s. Not looking good! lol I'm going to have to really work the market this season...

As you mwant get know or have guessed, Cool Runnings has been a virtual game friend to me. We have exchanged a lot. His motivation to renew his whole team was two fold

1. Financial reasons - his earlier team was too expensive
2. Performance - while his team was good it was limited. With the most important players over 30 he knew he would stagnate and never really improve by just replacing

I found his strategy of total renewal very courageous and ambitious. And, so far, it totally played out fine. I believe he would do things a little differently next time but altogether it was and is a gr at strategy if you have the patience. He benefits now of his second season in CoC. His finances seem fine. And I see him as a playoff contender despite two losses.
