A brilliant, brilliant game tonight against the Down Under Devils - with not a MOTY in sight
It was close all through. The first quarter was very defensive although we finally managed to socre a TD only to miss the extra point. I felt sure that was going to come back to haunt us and indeed it was like a spectre hanging over us all game - especially when the Devils tied it at 20-20 in the 4th. I was thinking ' if only we'd not missed that PAT we wouldn't necessarily need to score' and 'because we missed that PAT whatever we do score the Devils can tie us'. However, at 5.19 in the 4th with the game tied we went on an 80 yard drive which led to a TD with only 0.36 left on the clock. You can imagine my relief. I wanted to dance in the streets (it's sunny here in London at the moment). But well done Devils you were a worthy opponent. Now I have to start worrying about the Blood Kings in our next league game.  |

A good win for the Aliens today. After beating the Devils last week we managed to get a convincing win against the Blood Kings. Things are looking good in Torchwood.

After rebuilding my coaching staff at the end of last season and poor start this season, a good win against the Lemon Sharks 30-22 has got me back to 3 & 3. Hopefully this means I will be competitive for the rest of the season.

After a mini resurgence with wins over the Sentinals 10-7 and New Orleans 77-7, to get to 5 & 3, I came back to earth with a bump, courtesy of the lesson provided by the Leverkusen Leopards 51-14.
