Brazil looks like the USA basketball teams during the down years. Money was more important than national pride.

France is looking more and more impressive. They probably possess the most dynamic and skillful midfield in the tournament. Payet and Pogba are superb. The only thing they may lack is a true striker. Giraud does it at Arsenal, but appears out of form so far.

Tomorrow, Germany-Poland may give us a glimpse as to how good Germany is. And of course Wales will thrash England. :-) Spain has a chance... How is Iceland in the tournament and the Netherlands is not? What happened in qualifiers? Steve SD Blitz |

Griezman and Pogba entrance was a great thing for our offensive's dynamic. Not a great game but a good end, Payet's goal was again really impressive. |

I think the amazing thing is that Iceland finished second, winning both of their games against Netherlands. Well, after seeing most of the matches I believe again in Spain, we played well and no team has done a great match yet. |

Steve SD Blitz Iceland played in the qualifiers exactly like they did against Portugal, but the Netherlands however were not able to create as much chances as the Portuguese did. I have seen the second match between Iceland and the Netherlands, to be fair it was a bit lucky, but nevertheless well deserved for Iceland. And after that match against Portugal i hope they make it through to the next round... great team, great sportsmanship and great fans. Iceland has 323k inhabitants and more than 10% of those are in France to support the team. That is just huge... After all teams have now played their first match, it comes down to the normal contenders for me tho. France will have chances, Italy, Spain, Germany as well. Belgium was a disappointment, but they are not out yet. I expect one of the four teams i mentioned to go all the way... |

So, after seeing every team twice.
ITALY everyone else was a bit of a dissapointment so far. Maybe Spain and Croatia as contenders. |
