Italy, England, Belgium and Spain have now all produced a game where they have shown their capabilities to go on to win. So far only Italy showing any consistency and Ronaldo and Ibra are as good as a bunch of punters playing Oline

I think every few games I will change my opinion who might win it. Germany is still in the mix, but after the Poland game I'm worried they won't create chances with the same ease they did 2 years ago.

My current power ranking:

1. Spain
2. France
3. Croatia
4. Italy
5. Germany

No love for the English?

So Iceland could actually advance after 2 draws, right?

It's unlikely a team will advance with 2pts but 3pts could be enough.

I would go so far as to say that it is mathematically impossible that a team advances with 2 points only, if you take the current results as a basis.

England has shown some strength in 2nd half, i did not really expect that and Belgium has come back rather impressingly. So i would ad these two teams to my favourites again.

Somehow i don't believe in Croatia though... i don't expect them to make it to semifinals.

Too true, but having the jinx, Glen Hoddle, as the expert ITV will never learn.

Hoddle hasn't been the ITV pundit for the last 20 years mate!!

Truth is, people get confused, thinking the standard of the Premier League equates to the standard of our National team. Nothing could be further from the truth. Being part of successful domestic teams is down to the foreign coaches and teammates they play under and with. Why is it that very, very few English players are ever sought by the top clubs in the world? Take the class away from them, put them together, and they get shown up for what they are. Really very ordinary.....and before anyone tries to say any the different, remember they were beaten by a team tonight who had players from Cardiff City and Charlton Athletic - a mid table Championship team and a Division 1 team.

Absolutely awful....and its not like it was just tonight. Draws against a god awful Russian and Slovakian teams and a relatively lucky win against Wales.

My bad on Hoddle.

Don't forget it also about foreign owners and wanting to win at what ever the cost and with the money coming in from those TV deals we will be lucky to see 11 english players in the Premiership soon.
