Looking for the teams strength I just figured that teams from Claymores and Dragons regions must be the "bunch of soccer-players", since not one team from those regions did sign up so far.

I could be wrong, but when I did my big batch of test scrims about 6-7 seasons ago, I thought the breakdown looked like this:
Mainly rush = 90% rush, 10% pass. Prefer rush = 67% rush, 33% pass. Balanced = 50% rush, 50% pass. So yeah, should land right on or about 10%, give or take a few %. I like Buffalo's suggestion, but you ARE losing a possession when you accidentally get a long pass TD. What if it counted as a FG regardless of distance, for the first one ... but any time after the first counts as zero points? I'm not sure if that would be more or less fair ... but it would avoid someone passing constantly in the red zone on say 3rd downs, for easier than kicker accuracy 3 pts.  |

I like to discuss this openly.
The thing is, my goal is not to adjust plays, my goal was to adjust games. So a rules which would mean to overlook every game and having it adjusted in score and stats can become quite work heavy. Normally, if playbooks and settings are set the right way, passing shouldn't be a big issue. Yes, it can happen that a big play comes up, but in the past at TOG that was taken with humor. I have no expierence with such a Tournament here at RZA and how managers will react. Chance are high that passes will happen, on purpose or by engine selection. My aim here is to have fun, not to make this over complicated and unenjoyable. As said, feel free to discuss the issue, I'm willing to adjust the rules, if a workable solution is found in case the majority sees a need for that. |
