Hello all to the final week of the season. Has it been that long already? It seemed just weeks ago that the editor of GOTW went on holiday.
We are honing in once again on the Pirates and what could become a remarkable play-off story to match last year's fairy tale-like run by the Deflators. Of course Wild Thangs are not interested in this story line at all and want Fraggles to do what they do best: comprehensively defeat opponents! Our beat writers are on the road one more time, something they're families will be glad to hear! |

Fijer remains the darling of the GOTW staff as he continues with his really media friendly attitude. He hereby receives the MVP award for this season!
Question 1. You were projected by rzbeckos to lose last week's game with 12 points but won by 13. you are now projected to lose by 11. Do you see a trend as well? Well, I hope so, but I know that achieving it twice in a row is really hard. Question 2. It has been claimed by some anonymous sources in the game that the Steelers would get big money if they cause an upset against the Wild Thangs. Is there any truth in these claims? That is totally false! Hold on a second, I must make a phone call... Yes, yes... you will get your millions if you win... yes, a suitcase next to the big tree in the park. Ok, sorry. Like I said, I don't know anything about a suitcase with some millions prepared to be put next to the big tree in the park. Question 3. What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be? Hmmm... Luck again? Hahaha |

It seems that Fijer is really downplaying his chances and cherishing the underdog role once again but it seems to me as a fan of the game that this is one team that's clued on to how to achieve results against the odds.

If you take a look at the Predictions before the season has started, there are some really good underdog actions, like jetto.. so this underdog-status looks pretty cool to get some happy-ends
