Flerschem Flieger @ Xu Da

FLERSCHEM FLIEGER

1) This is your first playoff appearance at 1.1, What are your expectations going into the later stage of the season?
We didnt expected coming up so big this season. We finished the last two season with a 6-10 record and its a big gain for our franchise to look at
12-4 record and a wildcard place this time. We will continue our delevopment about Tactics and let the Roster grow up. Of cause from now, every win is a big thing for our team, as we didnt expect to be in the playoffs. The main goal was to get a positive Win/Lose ratio. But now to be honest we got some hopes to get deeper into the Playoffs. But with big guys waiting for us like Bova and Simkon we need some kind of wonder, cause we never beat them and dont believe really that we can do this in this season. At all we hope the best, but we are already very happy with the results we got until now.

2) You go into this tie as clear favourites after winning earlier in the season by 36 points. How will you prepare for this tie to ensure you don’t go home early?
Yeah that could be right. We dont want to underestimate Xu Da, but looking on the last game day P/D and so on, we hoped for this matchup. As you said we already won against them and look self-confident to win this time again. I guess we dont change our system a lot, but it would be usefull to send out some scouts or make some tactical advises. We also dont want to be transparent and there will be some preparation. To be honest we will raise our preparation in a other matchup, or if we can do it, in the next round.
We wish Hongwu best luck and a good fight

Xu Da

1) You return to the playoffs season after failing to qualify least season while you rebuild. What are your expectations going forward?
We take things one game at a time. We have been rebuilding, and our making the playoffs this season will set a good foundation to further build upon. Our young players will get valuable experience from the playoffs, and this learning is critically important to their development.

2) You Play Flerschem Fliegers who are favourites going into this tie. How do you change things to get a result after your opponents got the result earlier in the season by 36 points?

They are a quality side, no question about that. We just need to play our game, and focus on Xu Da football. We will try to control the ball, play good defense, and execute on special teams. We will play our game, and that should be good enough!

Wild Thangs @ Budapest Wolves

WILD THANGS

1) You go into the playoffs with the toughest tie of the round. What are your expectations going into the playoffs?
I have low expectations, so that anything other than a blowout loss will be a happy surprise!

2) You play Budapest Wolves who are experienced at elite level and are one of the 4 favourites to make that step Back up. How do you prepare for this and cause an upset?
I will do a little bit of scouting, and a lot of praying!

3) D, Noland lead Thunder 1.1 in passing yards this season while also leading the league with 185 passing TDs. You also have the second best offense in Thunder 1.1 AC Conference. How impressed are you with your teams performance this season and how do you expect this to help you in a difficult playoff campaign ahead?
Thanks for pointing out those stats, I might not have known otherwise!

I am pleased with my team's performance this season - I have begun a re-building process, so I am hoping the young players will be more ready to step up next season. I will be keeping some older veterans active to help with the transition. As far as this season's playoffs, I will cross my fingers and hope for some luck - perhaps some big defensive plays will be what I need to have a chance.

Thanks for making this a fun season in a great league!

BUDAPEST WOLVES

1) This playoff campaign has 4 teams with a realistic chance of making the step back up. With this playoff campaign expected to be the most exciting Thunder 1.1 has ever seen. What are your expectations going into the playoffs?
Wolves plays with Wild Thangs. We lost against them in the regaular season. They are a strong team. Anything can happen.

2)You go into this Wild Card tie as favourites, How will you go into this tie and ensure Wild Thangs don’t cause an upset?
We plan to play our normal game with strong defense and balanced offence. We do not plan to make a special preparation. Let's see what happens.

Basterds @ Hucknall Broncos

BASTERDS

1) This is your first playoff experience and it’s a tough match up with Hucknall Broncos, What are your expectations going into the playoffs?
Well, actually it is the second time I'm in the PO

Hm, I hope to survive the WC round of course. After that I have no plans...

2) This tie is expected to be a close encounter where anyone could come out the other side and progress to the Divisional round. How do you go into this Tie and ensure you do enough to get the result?
I won our last Meeting +10 at home. For me it will be very important if I'll win my SC game on Monday. When I'm loosing there the loss of MOR could be a huge negatic for my squad...

HUCKNALL BRONCOS

1)This is your third consecutive playoffs. You qualified the last 2 seasons in with indifferent form, what is different this season and what are your expectations going into the later stages of the season?

2) This tie is expected to be a close encounter where anyone could come out the other side and progress to the Divisional round. How do you go into this Tie and ensure you do enough to get the result?

3) Hucknall Broncos LB R, Smallwood Lead Thunder 1.1 with 28 sacks while LB C, Holley is in 4th with 21 sacks, You also have the second best offence in NC conference. How impressed are you with your teams performance this season and how do you expect them to fair going forward?

I actually thought the last two seasons have been easier getting to this stage, the beginning of this season was tough but it's back on track now. I'm expecting Home field advantage to be the difference and their QB to have quite a few bruised ribs by the end of the match...

Bison City Nightcrew @ Amersfoort Alligators

BISON CITY NIGHCREW:

1) This is your First playoffs experience at 1.1 level. What are your expectations going forward?
To build a team that is consistantly challenging for the POs.

2) Power was the second DEF player in thunder this season with 24 sacks while G, Davidson lead Thunder 1.1 with 22 Interceptions. How proud are you of your teams performance this season?
Very proud and surprised as did not expect to make the POs this season.

3) Being the underdog in this tie how do you prepare for your biggest challenge yet?
Study my opponent and cross my fingers l

AMERSFOORT ALLIGATORS:

1) In what’s expected to be one of the toughest and most exciting playoff campaigns Thunder 1.1 has seen, What are your expectations going forward?
Well, in an already much debated move I sacked all my coaches after the second to last game of the season. This had a major impact on the morale and team chemistry. It was taken with a long-term view but with massive short-term implications. This affects the wild card game in a big way. I am still going for the win with some creative playbook changes but I’ve got to admit that it’s going to be very very touch.

2) You hold a 4-0 record against Bison City Crew over the 21/22 seasons just making you the favourites going into this WC round tie?
I’ve done pretty well again Bison City Crew indeed and they have become a measuring stick for my improvement this season. For some reason there are always some freak plays in my favour like a 73 yard TD pass or a last second interception TD so I am hoping that my luck here will continue. However with the answer to the first question in mind I’ve got to be realistic and accept that for this particular game I am the underdog. But still, I am not giving up and I will use all the tricks I can come up with to progress to the next round.

3) T, Chavalit was second in Thunder 1.1 in passing yards this season while also leading the league in 177 passing TDs. You also have the best offensive in NC Conference. How will this help you going into the playoffs and your toughest challenge yet as a team?
Ahh Ting Chavalit. What a hero! I am so pleased with his progress. In the beginning he had a lot of interceptions however this season with 592 passing attempts he’s had only 7 interceptions. This improvement left only the good bits and he’s been a real leader on the field, moving the team forward. And to be honest, this season I’ve had a more run-heavy PB to balance the offense but also to prevent situations which were prone to interceptions. So hopefully I can slowly change the PB to allow more passing attempts as this how I envisage my team to be: a passing powerhouse. The next step is to get better WRs in as the current batch all have ball dropping issues. Once I’ve got a better WR core I can really release the potential Chavalit has. And he’s only 24, that’s just scary! Be warned Thunder 1.1, Ting is coming for you!

Fantastic work passionatelad, my predictions are:
