wow just been able to review my game. what a mess. punted on opp8 (god I hate that PB editor so much...
 !!)
2 int's in the red zone and I gave up a 80 yard TD... 
Fortunately it was a meaningless defeat. Onto the POs!  |

Guys help me out here, in my last game I punted from opp12 instead of kicking a FG.
The play was this one: Q2 4:33 Hubert Albrecht (P) punts the ball from opp 12 for 45, this is a touchback This came after a 3 and 1 that resulted in tackle for loss of 1. Of course I want to find the offending rule but when I use the play checker I see this:  Source: http://i.imgur.com/LTeEzgH.png Am I misreading the conditions of the play here? I've checked the Game Settings and I am definitely using the Standard PB that is selected here. |

It could be as you state that you had a 3rd and 1 which resulted in a 1 yard loss, which means you were on a 4th and 2. Personally I have FG set for inside the 40 on 4th down as standard, nothing better than getting points on the board. |

The thing is that if you want to have conditional orders in the red zone you need a maths degree to work out all the options! Yes, it's easier to just kick FGs but what if you are behind by more than 3. I would like to be aggressive then and try to go for a TD. This requires the extra tinkering but since this cost me the game (lost by 1 point) and subsequently caused a 10% TC hit as it was a lower rated opponent I lost to, I am wondering if your statement is not better in all situations  |

True and true...
Both points made could be right, nobody knows if the other way would have been better. See Steelers in the NFL trying 3 2PT without "needing" it (for a tie or something). |
