That's a fair statement, but I think most managers here have LBs with that sort of speed, me for example.

From 1 sack/season to 10 sacks/game is some adjustment.

Anyhow, I'm not complaining, but very very surprised.

Are we sure those high sack numbers aren't just for those shotgunning every play? Because I got sacked 0 times, since I've always been very opposed to using the tactic.

The I Formation is what got hammered mostly (10 of 18 from both teams)

I Form 45 attempts, 10 sacks - 22.2% rate
SG2 15 attempts, 2 sacks - 13.3% rate
SG4 36 attempts, 3 sacks - 8.3% rate
SBS 4 attempts, 3 sacks - 75% rate

Yet I used those 4 formations 19 times, evenly spread, and I got sacked 0 times. I think it can be attributed largely to the lopsided tactics rule.

18 yards too short....congrats OC!

Backup QB came in and threw 2 picks....argh!

SD Blitz

thanks, Steve

I am still stunned, I had no chance but took it
Really got lucky and used the time when your star QB was hurt.

Funny Game. I don't see me being competitive so I think more long term.
The CB who picked off your back up QB twice was just converted from LB, had just 60% TC and for Elite CBs ridiculous low skills around 36

I get what you're saying ... but the point was under the penalty situation, shotgun still fared noticeably better and more importantly ... exactly ZERO of the sacks I've found so far occurred with a lone blitzer in the shotgun. Ie. it still looks like blitz pickup is 100% in the shotgun, regardless of FB skills if there is no DE breathrough.

Fixing that would be more inclined to generate actual diversity, FROM the players. What you've got now, is a situation I expect most players will try to find the sweet spot of still calling as much shotgun as possible, without invoking the thumb of doom.

As a 15+ years game industry vet, it's always better to incentivize players to do the right thing, than to try to whack them with a stick whenever they don't.

*edit* - As an aside, this also will be screwing newer players, will it not? Something simply fixing the SG formations would've avoided. Short of selecting random / random / random for the 3 downs on match day settings, they will not be able to see a thumbs up ...

I fully agree. For me it would be a major improvement if we had simple match day settings, that would allow us, with a few clicks, have our teams avoid lop-sided tactics. I just can't be arsed sitting down for hours, adding random lines to get a thumb in the middle. Who does enjoy sth like that? Anyhow, seems like I have to do it now anyway..

This will probably be my last season with RZA. It has been fun, but changes in my work world have changed my priorities. I will try to stay active enough to not go bot until the off-season, but I won't have time to scout opponents or make many changes.

That's bad news for us, bobcor, but not unexpected as the writing was on the wall.

I hope your higher priorities work out as planned and maybe you find a way to continue without putting in that much effort

thanks for being part of this great community

Sorry to see you go, bobcor. As a testament to your domination of Claymore, I had never played your team till this season. No yo-yoing for you!

Meanwhile, who will seize the chance to sit atop Claymore and the AC South? Falcons look the early favorites, at least from my perspective...

Good Game Firenze, you certainly stomped me into the ground big style

6 interceptions was about all I could muster on offense, I really need to step up a couple of gears if I'm going to survive the Elite league.

Also need to look at my play book, it's just not good enough for this level of competition.

Ah well, it gives me something to do on Monday morning

I put a lot of work into the game plan, but I didn't expect that result. Recent changes to the the game engine discussed here may have been a factor.

A reasonably good game for us against the Fighters de Paris but the two interceptions screwed us and probably cost us the game.

Well done Paris. For us it's back to the drawing board.
