Hello to all Thunderians out there and welcome back to week 16. Week 16?! Can you believe it that we're already this far into season 23. And still so much to play for as this week's game shows.
Wild Thangs are fighting hard to be the one that fills the void that Simkon left earlier in the season. But this is no easy task when passionatelad's boys roll into town. It looks like it will be a game that will be fought hard until the very last minute. Stay tuned for smokerteer's expert take on this game. In the meantime check out the interviews below... First up is Stizz of Wild Thangs who has to careful that he doesn't attract the attention of the league's authorities as he hints at possibly immoral practices going on in the House of Pain:
Question 1. You have played hard all season but however the truth remains that in close games you have mostly lost. What do you attribute this to? Mental strength of your players, experience or something else altogether? Mental weakness of owner. Question 2. Severnside Cardinals receiver corps are really good in the YaC stats. Is this something that worries you? Will you adapt your tactics to this, perhaps using 3-1-7 more often? I have not scouted yet, but I will be giving my DBs a good pep talk and some steroids. Question 3. What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be? I will need to get some turnovers from my defense. |

Next up is passionatelad of the well respected Severnside Cardinals:
Question 1. Jack Robert seems like an interesting prospect at QB. However some pundits have remarked that although he seems like a good player he doesn't have the physical skills nor the decision making skills to be a top tier QB. What are your thoughts on these observations. Jack is not a future starting QB for this franchise, only a backup so unless there is an injury this season there is no reason for him to be in. Yes his decision making isn't at the required level but maybe with a little work I can do something a little different with him down the line. His red cap strength also don't help. Question 2. The season is effectively over for your team with no hopes of a play-off berth. Will this affect who you'll play? I am asking as some people are worried you might affect the race for the AC East title by gifting the game to Wild Thangs by playing younger, less experienced players. I always play to win no matter who I'm playing or my record, I will never throw a game but make no mistake this is no easy tie as I've lost the last 2 matchup against these opponents. The season may seam over to a lot of people for me and it will be if I lose this tie but if I win there is a slight chance to Make the post season if I pull of a win. I'll probably lose my final game against Deflators. Question 3. What do you think the key deciding factor in this game will be? Defending well. Our DEF has to be on it's have this week and we can't afford to slack off. We also need to move the ball and not decide to play for only half the game. Cant say I'm surprised at that result. One confession I do have to make is players with a lot of work needed I've not worried bout there fitness which obviously hasn't help form seasons 22/23.
Congrats to Wild Thangs though and good luck with the Playoffs |

Yep, Wild Thangs did what he needed to do and due to a very costly LM Pirates loss the AC East is wide open again!
