You have a lot of confidence that you will beat a team that you beat by 3 points in the beginning of the season. I beat the Wolves by 11 points in our previous league game. Didn't give me enough confidence to even put my starters in.

Why are there any teams "In the hunt"? Seems like you should have an opinion on all the teams, not just your own. You didn't consider the future schedule of other teams when you came up with your overview. By your logic, given I beat the Yellow Cakes and the SpringHeal Jacks earlier this season, I should have 4 more wins in my tally. 7 wins don't put me in the "Looking down nervously category."

of course I have an opinion of all teams, not just my own. isn't that exactly what opinions are? your own views? should I repress them just for fear they are not shared by all? you have (clearly) no idea how I came up with my predictions....but even so, why should I have to justify anything I think to you?

instead of sitting there picking holes with my thoughts and opinions, why not put your own opinions down and we'll see who ends up closest?

considering I beat them by 4 points and the score was 27-9 with 3 minutes left until they scored 14 junk time points to make the scoreline look closer than the game actually was.....yes, I do have a fair amount of confidence I will beat them again.

just for the likes of Dumb & Dumber above :

prediction - Dictionary Definition : Vocabulary.com

https://www.vocabulary.com/dictionary/prediction

A prediction is what someone thinks will happen. A prediction is a forecast, but not only about the weather. Pre means “before” and “diction” has to do with talking. So a prediction is a statement about the future. It's a guess, sometimes based on facts or evidence, but not always.

Opinion dictionary definition | opinion defined - YourDictionary

www.yourdictionary.com › Dictionary Definitions › opinion

The definition of an opinion is a belief, impression, judgment or prevailing view held by a person

So no, I don't 'know' anything....and my 'opinions' are purely my own, based on things I consider relative to base my 'predictions' on.

OK now kids?

FFS...bring back Wadders and Fummer.........please!

Good summary, gabriel, I like that someone sacrifice time for write your opinion on that. Really don't understand discussion about what is more correct.

It gives me sense. I support this.

Two seasons ago. Slightly invalid argument for this season prediction.

Neverthless, back to gabriel's prediction, my two cents for this topic. Yes my overall and last results makes me one of favorites teams in conference (still don't know what's happened in first round with all respect to Devon Dog) but schedule in season's second half seems to be little bit tougher. And last but not least there are my awfull postseason stats. Hope that my team is more mature this season because in critical moments I feel that team performance didn't correspond with team overall and it really bothers me.

Thank you for the definitions of opinion and prediction, LOL. You never said it was your opinion. You said "Here's my overview of how its shaping up". But it wasn't really an overview. It was a high level quick glance at the league, and then a more in depth look at your own schedule. If you had conducted even a cursory amount of analysis on my team, you would have put me into the "Going no where" category.

I just don't see how you can put the Lakers firmly a whole category below your own team when every existing measure (including Beckos) has them winning more games.

Also curious how the Vikings can be in the hunt against no other teams. You have 4 teams as locks for the playoffs, and one team "In the hunt" against no opponent...

Two seasons ago was our last league game, and the delta between our teams was even greater. Considering the actual outcome of our last game, I do regret not using my starters, because it was a lot closer than I thought it would be.
