Hi Folks and welcome to the Pre-Season Show for Season 24.
Firstly I would like to welcome all the newcomers to Thunder 1.1 and welcome back our unsuccessful teams from the Elite League. (Probably me next season). So it's welcome to Davecool and his Marion Knuckleheads, Randolph_Griebler and his Hedgehogs Oberammergau, 90210 and his Bathing Apes, wsfjlt and his Thunder Bolts, Griswold and his Osler Rebels, krugodam and his krugodam and pikamaster13 and his Tokyo Warriors. Also welcome back to wiesengrund and his Vienna Falcons and eiskomitee and his Flerschem Flieger. As usual we start our preview show with the AC EAST LM Pirates are managed by Fijer 1.1 Record - 4 seasons 37-27 Divisional Titles - AC East 1 (Season 23) ELO Score 797 Beckos Score 333 Marion Knuckleheads are managed by Davecool 1.1 Record - Rookie Season ELO Score 571 Beckos Score 202 Wild Thangs are managed by stizz 1.1 Record - 19 seasons 196-108 Divisional Titles - NC East 3 (Seasons 8, 11, 14) AC East 2 (Seasons 16,17) Thunder Bowls - 1 - 1 loss Elite League Record - 1 season 4-12 ELO Score 883 Beckos Score 330 true winners home are managed by retry 1.1 Record - 6 seasons 43-53 ELO Score 687 Beckos Score 293 LM Pirates won this division last season purely by beating Wild Thangs twice, but then lost the play off game against them. These two teams will again have a close battle with each other for the divisional title and play off places. true winners home returns to this level after a successful rebuild, but they are not quite at Pirates or Thangs level just yet, but they could surprise a few. Marion Knuckleheads will have to settle for aiming to be fourth here and hoping they are good enough to avoid the relegation battle. AC East Position Prediction 1. LM Pirates 2. Here is the prediction for AC NORTH: Budapest Wolves managed by janos. Who finished the last season 12-4 crowned with a Division Title. Elo Score: 886 ; Beckos Score: 331 The SQUALES of Beach managed by SSNIPER: They had a 8-8 record last season and the 3rd place. Elo Score: 681 ; Beckos Score: 274 UNTOUCHABLES owned by nicky1974 Last season last place with 4-12 record. Elo Score: 649 ; Beckos Score: 300 Wolfings owned by Wolfing A 9-7 record got them to 2nd place last season. Elo Score: 641 ; Beckos Score: 304 In my oppinion there wont be big chances in the Division. Im excited to see someone coming up big and breaking the Expectations. Last season Ville Vikings were able to win the division last year but lost their first PO game to Bovakian’s Inbhir Narann. Actually this Division is very hard to predict like it was last season too. Flow Gaming and Xu Da for sure will try to grab the Division and Ville Vikings will try to repeat the win last season. I see all 3 quite equally. Jac Team needed to win a relegation match to stay with 1.1. and I think that’s maybe their main goal this season to avoid relegation match at all. But I don’t want to rule them out of the fight for the Division if they have a good Draft and add a few cornerpieces to the roster and playbook. Jetto’s prediction: 1. Flow Gaming 2. Xu DA 3. Deflators will take second place with Severnside easily staying ahead of rookie Hedgehogs Oberammergau who unfortunately need to be considered relegation candidates. Thanks guys and to close the first half of the show the AC Conference will be similar to last season where the two best teams are in the same division, Vienna Falcons and Deflators, AC West. Their main competition, based on last season, will again come from LM Pirates, Wild Thangs and Budapest Wolves. The AC South is probably the weakest division in the conference, but that does not mean that the divisional winner will not surprise teams in the play offs. So unless something dramatic happens, like me winning the Conference last season, it is up to Vienna Falcons to lose it. The second half of the show will start with eistee and his review of NC East. |

Head and shoulders above the rest are the Vienna Falcons. Their first fixture is the only one I as a potential upset. If they beat deflators expect them to go 16-0 and taking the AC conference title by storm. The fight for second place is more interesting with deflators and Budapest Wolves probably fighting over that. Behind that there is a group of team that can all beat the others but also lose to all the others. Expect a resurgence of sorts of the Severnside Cardinals while wolflings might surprise a few people. Play-off teams: Wild Thangs Budapest Wolves Flow Gaming Vienna Falcons Deflators Ville Vikings LM Pirates Wolflings At the bottom Hedgehogs Oberammergau and Marion Knuckleheads are certain candidates it seems for relegation as they don't seem ready yet for this level. |

So people lets have a view on the NC.
Im gonna start to introduce the NC EAST: Bathing Apes manged by 90210: Came from Thunder 2.1 through relegation. Elo Score: 622 ; Beckos Score: 294 Die Verdammten owned by Lawinenhund: Last season they were able to win the NC East with a 13-3 record. Elo Score: 951 ; Beckos Score: 354 Thunder Bolts managed by wsfjlt: Coming from Thunder 2.2. Elo Score: 633 ; Beckos Score: 293 Toledo Tigers owned by Brownsfan: 2nd place and a Wildcard were the results from last season. Elo Score: 730 ; Beckos Score: 329 Predicition: On the NC East it will be very interesting to have a look on the "newcomers" from the lower leagues and how far they can get. I clearly see Die Verdammten in front, hunted by Toledo Tigers. Its really hard to predict if Thunder Bolts or Bathing Apes get a better record. 1. But for some time last seasons runner up Bison City Nightcrew were able to draw some consideration as PO contender. I think Nightcrew may continue to improve their team and maybe they will be able to give the Alligators a good fight for the Division. But don’t forget about the Steelers: They are are here for their second stint with RZA so they are very experienced and know how to build a competitive Team. At the moment I expect a very close battle between this 3 teams for the Division Crown, maybe the Alligators are a bit ahead the two others. Krugodam will need this season to improve the infrastructure and to learn a few things. Main goal is on my mind to avoid automatic relegation. jetto's position Prediction: 1. Amersfoort Alligators 2. Divers are managed by thomastem 1.1 Record - 3 seasons 43-5 Divisional Titles - AC North 1 (Season 21) NC South 1 (Season 23) Thunder Bowls - 1 - 1 win Elite League Record - 1 season 0-16 Champ of Champ Bowls - 1 - 1 loss ELO Score 827 Beckos Score 245 Osler Rebels are managed by Griswold 1.1 Record - Rookie Season ELO Score 702 Beckos Score 293 Totoras Patriots are managed by JonatanRiver 1.1 Record - 18 seasons 150-138 Divisional Titles - NC South 3 (seasons 18-20) ELO Score 878 Beckos Score 234 This division was subject of a battle of epic proportions last season between Basterd and M.Divers who then subsequently both lost in the play offs while they were favorites for promotion. So both these teams are back, will dust themselves down and re-start the fight for the divisional title. Both these teams will make the play offs again, no doubt about it. But who will win the division? Basterds would need to win at least one game against the Divers. Divers however play Flerschem Flieger late in the season with Basterds having a slightly easier schedule. This out of division game could be the deciding game in this division. I therefore predict Basterds will win the title providing they win at least one game against the Divers. Totoras Patriots were a much fancied team last season but disappointed many and they regressed through the season. We will see now whether this was a hiccup or part of a larger problem. Certain however is that they will end up third in this division. Osler Rebels meanwhile are a fine addition to Thunder 1.1. They've been biding their time in the lower leagues prepping for this moment and therefore they arrive the best equipped of all the rookies. They should escape the relagation battle and build a solid foundation for a charge up the rankings in Thunder 1.1. It's a shame for them they ended up in the arguably worst division a rookie can end up in. 1. Basterds 2. M Divers 3. Totoras Patriots 4. The Green Machine's first season in Thunder 1.1 has shown that this is a team that can get it on and will probably be Flerschem's only challengers for the Divisional Title. Chesterton Cheese clearly stated last season that a major rebuild was in prgress and we await to see their progress this coming season. Tokyo Warriors have reached this level, probably, too quickly and will struggle through the season, but that is not to say that with some shrewd gameplay they will not win games. Position Prediction 1. Flerschems Flieger 2. The Green Machine 3. Chesterton Cheese 4. Tokyo Warriors As to the NC Conference this is a season where at least half of them could reach the play offs, but M Divers will start slight favourites to be the NC/s Bowl representative, but I am sure that Bastards, Die Verdammten, Amersfoot Alligators and Flerschems Flieger will run them close and not to leave out Bison City Nightcrew.
