Play TYPE. Not play FORMATION.

It isn't me that isn't reading the posts and spewing irrelevance.

Good bye.

First off, this has nothing to do with my original question. Secondly, I think Pete made it pretty clear in the 2nd post on this thread that they don't play any different if they are expecting the pass or the run. I really don't know what you have been trying to argue for these last 8 pages...

This "expect pass/rush" is just a helper for the AI. They do not defend better or worse based in this setting.

Just a last attempt to remove all doubts.

A.)
If you set "vs pass go 3-3-5, vs run go 3-3-5", and you set "expect pass", the play will happen at the same level of power for 3-3-5, no matter if it was a pass or rush finally.

B.)
If you set "vs pass go 3-3-5, vs run go 5-3-3", and you set "expect pass", and you got passed that play, the 3-3-5 is the formation to go. If the AI has chosen to expect pass (not based on your settings!!), the 3-3-5 has the same power than it was not chosen by AI, but by your setting...

It is not as confusing as some of you try to make it.

I wasn't confused by your initial response, only by some of the convincing misinterpretations that followed. Thank you for helping to make it very clear.
