Yeah this is turning into one hell of a stinker. They have had a few games where they could have won but couldn't go for the kill. It seems a no 1 pick one more...

Well maybe they can finally get a real QB instead of trading it away

the '18 class is the year to pick a QB high, pretty sure they simply cant dare to trade back again, when they can even cherry pick their flavour at the top of the board.

Kizer has been disappointing, but it not like they took him really high #52, they got 2 great talents before him... so the comparably low investment was still worth the flyer imo

I would say definitely as good as the class of 2015 that produced 3 franchise QBs in Winston, Mariota and Carr. Except there are many QBs that could be drafted before the 2nd round where Carr was taken. I would definitely be surprised if there was not 3 franchise QBs in there, even if Sam Darnold were to decide to return to USC.

I am tying my colours to Rosen who i think will be a fantastic franchise QB and will look awesome in Scarlet and Gold under Shanahan's tutelage. I like Darnauld or Allen prospects under Shanahan too. I will be satisfied if the Niners bag one of this trio in the draft.

Then for the rest of the draft i just want a LB 2 x CB 2 x WR and 2 Interior OL this year. That wouldnbe an ok haul !!

Iron man Thomas out for the season

Well anyway, it wasn't gonna be a winning season just this year

I said it early in the thread but this highlights it. Thomas is in the twilight of his career the Browns will shortly have a massive, massive LT hole on their team. This is his eleventh year and hes done. He himself has admitted he has short term memory loss from football. I dont give him very much longer at all in the game. Physically he is already struggling to maintain an elite level and each year will become tougher.

The Browns not only need that franchise QB they need an elite LT for him too. Thomas who will a first ballot hall of famer and i am and have been since his college days a massive fan of his. ( imo the fpurth best tackle i have ever seen)

With Bryant and Fitzgerald potentionaly on the block should Cleveland try to trade for them? I think yes because they have no recievers they can count on right now and they have a lot of picks.

No they have no QB, whoever is there will no longer have the best LT of his generation protecting his blindside.

Fitz isnt going to leave the Cards for the worst franchise in football, the Crds have to much respect for hin to pull that deal and the fanvase in Arizona wont accept it either, i fully expect him to end his career as a Card or at the very worst go to a teamto give him a shot at a ring. The Browns dont need the drama of Bryant.

The Browns need to find a football GM and use those picks to add talent to their team in the draft. It starts by finding a QB, you can find plenty of talent at WR throughout the draft nowadays and they have the picks to restock.

The Browns just blew up the confidence of Kizer, kessler and Hogan in just one day! The tried to trade for A.J. McCarron for a second and third draftpick but it didn't go through, because the FO of the Browns didn't report the trade intime to the NFL office...

Trading two draftpicks for a backup QB is a bad trade in my (not really an expert) opinion. But having it get failed due to their own mishap is even worse, because it underlines that Hue doesn't have confidence in the current QB room... They panicked (probably after the Garoppolo trade) and tried to get a more experienced QB. The amount of draftpicks shows that the FO and Hue don't have confidence in any of their current QB's and want an alternative very bad...And why McCarron and don't go for Kaepernick who costs a lot less than two draft picks to acquire?

This whole action goes against their "Long term rebuilding" message that they spread out in earlier statements. Did someone just pushed the panick button in Cleveland?

My opinion: accept another bad season. Keep your draftpicks and pick a QB with the upcoming no 1 or no 2 (depending on SF) overall pick.
