I knew there was changes in wages but not that high. How are we supposed to run our teams when we have massive hikes in wages and losing upto 40% in transfer fees to tax

This new changes to wages is putting a serious dent in my Finances. my wages has just gone from $ 3,518,510 to $ 4,628,237. couple changes I think next off season

As I know most managers redo the contracts just at the very end of the season - maybe you could have gambeld a bit more?
I don't know since I didn't active HR departement yet - my forecast says I'll pretty much stay the same as now...

Hmm I now see that I never made it available but have just emailed it to people upon request. So PM me your email address if you want it.

I always negotiate my contracts right before end of season so I've not had not experience with the new exp but it seems that the exp is baked into the wages and exp wages seen so there is no issue it seems. But this is not confirmed as of yet so keep that in mind.

So Bison Nightcrew was selling Graham Davidson. He has always played well against my team and he is a beast statwise in Thunder 1.1 so I thought I'd overspend to get this guy. Bid 25 mill on him and.....didn't get him!!

So my question is, is the transfer market overheated or are prices for decent players just rising and I need to accept I need to pay top dollar? I would like to hear your thoughts on this.

I don't follow the TM that much but with this low skills for that age it is way to much money... if he would be 3-4 years younger the price would be ok.

Well I have about 8 transfer agents monitoring the TM so I think I got a good feeling for what a reasonable price is but since last off-season prices are just going through the roof and even for DL / LB's (such as Davison) which are always readily available via the TM (as opposed to good OLs for example).

I have noticed this to this year, is this a reaction to the changes and team wanting to downsize the wage bills so competing over a second tier of players?

There are bargains imo, in the veteran top end players with high wage costs and in the high experience players presumably as a reaction to their increasing wage cost,

Last off season I changed my strategy so am happy with this turn of events

I think the best way to look at is that's a market shift because teams are having to reduce top end wage bill therefore skills are slightly less important and teams are chasing the very high STR/SPE/INT stats even more pushing prices up. 3.5 XP on a 26 year old for me will always limit that player from being top drawer in my books (assuming he doesn't reach 4*very quick) if he was 4 star or better then he would be worth a lot more to me.

His skills aren't great but I think players are now more interested in capping players lower due to wage bills so skills have less influence now on prices.
