Yes, there is a new feature available. I am really sorry not to come up with such a thing earlier

First of all: you can use it without any risk until this seasons end, since no money will be collected from your bankrolls, and no income will be created as well...

Cool, I'll check it out.

Link to the Manual Page.

I'm putting up to 50 mio in it and I get 12 mio back?

I assume if I survive Elite again, I don't have to pay those 50 mio again per season.

I assume also that those 12 mio will rise, once more Elite members have spend money in it and according to the manual, if all did spend the maximum we get more than 50 mio per season out of it.

I assume also, that if I drop down to 1.1 I will have to invest again that money and if I make it back to Elite, I have to invest that stuff again.

The payment is per season, the income "weekly" (RZA weekly). The conditions in each league are the same, and do not depend on the league level. To generate a plus, you have to reach the league goals, described in the manual

It's an exercise in game theory.

TOTAL funding for the league has to reach a certain amount (1.6 billion is "100%" funded). To be 50% funded and start making money, by the rough math provided in the manual, the average contribution by all 32 league members will have to be 25 million. An average of 50 million would be 100%.

In practice, some members may donate some minimal amount by still reap the benefits.

Not really...each manager gets back income in two ways: one half based on the leagues average, so for this half your statement is true.

The other half is based on his own pledge, and therefore he would limit his total income by not pledging full. "Reaping benefits"...not really.

Correct me if i'm wrong but it seems that one manager could pledge 50 mill, but still make a loss if everyone else only donated up to the 49% mark, thus having income of 90%.

its beneficial if you're the only team in a bot league, or if you're in a league where all teams have millions upon millions. I am not there yet though.

with recent moves to take money out of the game, this seems to reverse that somewhat for the richer teams who are most likely to have the money to pledge.

It is not about rich getting richer...it is about working together. It is step one to create something like the NFL itself, where all owners work together somwhow to win money.

In a league with some bots it is much easier to reach league goals. The only thing that is open for me: how to handle brand new teams. I tend to handle the managers like bots, maybe for their first xx RZA weeks...

And to answer the question: Yes, in the given example the manager will face an overall loss...as wanted!
