Exactly. We have two financial runs per real life week, so 12 real weeks aka 24 RZA weeks.

Hi Pete, someone in our forum board said it will not be clever to increase the individual pledge during the season as I would lose money. We are now at 67%. Is he correct ? No, he is not. Of course there is a point in the season where it doesnt make sense to raise the pledge. But it depends on the point of the season. Maybe your league reaches a higher pledge level soon, 75%+...but you have to do the breakeven-math yourself. Lazy Yoda is... |

So, one of our managers in Admirals 2.1 celebrated his 1st anniversary here this evening (according to Schwabe)...
...and had his free $50M contribution rescinded. This means our overall payment to the Mediacenter has dropped from 72.5% to 69.4%, which seems more than a little unfair. |

There is no relation between a "1st anniversary" and the pledges, so I don't get the idea of your post Btw: there is exactly NO difference between the pledgelevel of 72.5 and 69.4, both create the same return Last edited on 2017-06-06 22:09:34 by pete |

Looks like all the leagues are funded. So not so much of a game element anymore. This has really just devolved into a system that punishes people for not having 50 mil on hand at the start of the season. Bye bye American football! I will never cut down coaches, players' wages or facilities only to save money for this mediacenter. Investments must be focused on team's improvement, otherwise it means this game isn't anymore a sport management game but a pure financial simulation where the winner is who makes the biggest profit. I laugh when hear people saying they risk bankrupt because of their hurried pledge at the start of the season! And if you can contribute with a lesser amount you are going to lose your money (what a mess!, this maybe now has been fixed but rules and numbers have been corrected day by day at present...) Ingenuousness of all those claiming "money, money, money for free and for everyone!" is disarming... Why instead of all this economics don't improve playbook usability, more formations available, more tactical options, features of players by roles etc? Recently, in this regard, the only significative effort has been just on lopside tactics detection. |

Isn't the media center was a simulation of revenue sharing that teams get from media contracts in real life? How is that not like American Football? Football is an entertainment product.

Nice addition Pete. It's been a fun thread in Admirals 1.1 convincing people to pledge, and we've done well thanks largely to the efforts of Yashin and Andrew2 and a couple of others.
A couple of possible suggestions for next season, would perhaps be smaller steps for the increased returns. 25% is quite a large gap, so I think having more incremental increases could encourage the teams who don't have $50m to donate as much as they can? Also, although it has no bearing on gameplay, so only if it's easy to program, would be could the higher percentage your league's media centre pledges, the higher chance your league has of being featured on matches of the day? |

Could you go in the suggestions forum for this, please? So I won't miss it later.
