Lucky win for Lakers over Miners yesterday evening.
Down by 2 at 2:30 to go and ball in the hands of Miners' offense.
An unexpected and thrilling interception brought us on the Miners' 15 yds line. A first complete brought us to the 3 yds to goal, but Miners defense came up big with an unbelievable serie of sacks against Lahers' QB for three consecutive pass plays and a total loss of 24 yds, bringing the kicking distance to a 44 yds field goal.
Enzo Sperotto (K), which failed some crucial kicks in this season, sealed a winning FG with only 37 secs left on the clock.
The thrilling was not over since Miners' QB threw another intercept for a pick six with 2 secs left on the clock and fix the final score.

Miners deserved victory for their constant good pressure all over the match, only a burst of lucky big plays in the last moments of the 4th quarter changed the tide and gave Lakers a much needed W.

Tough loss for me which really underlines what an up and down season it's been. Arrived at a crossroads now - will it be enough wins to make the playoffs from here or a capitulation and a series of losses.
Both options look possible.

Yeah, my QB picked a fine time to turn in his worst performance of the season. 3 picks

Well played buddy. See you next year...

Yeah, pretty blasé. We each had one fumble lose, no picks, and one eight yard sack. A couple big plays, but not much for the watching. Mostly only the tight score to keep it interesting. GG

You had a couple nice ones though. 31 yard TD run on 4th and 1. What was I thinking calling GoallineD on 4th and 1

And the 59 yard kick return that set you up nicely for a TD.

It is exceedingly rare that my guys ever move the ball more than 15 yards on any play, so most of my games are pretty boring.

Is the London Silverbacks victory over the Chester Ducks the most jaw dropping result you have ever seen?

I think it is mine.

I bet old mikemike is apoplectic somewhere...even a few days after the game.

Had a few very nice RZA days. A win against Adventurers (after 4 losses during the last 2 seasons I was really doubting to win against him) and today I think I sealed my first partycipation at the Supercup-Playoffs. Now I just have to stay in 1.1 than I consider this season a success

Meh

We changed gameplan. This happened last time I was in the elite for some reason the gameplan didn't work and we were regularly losing to teams rated 20 points lower. Actually asked for thoughts as there was no logical sense for the mother and father of all nerfs, best explantaion anyone could give was my OL consistency was a bit low. Pete reckoned this sort of thing is normally personnel and nothing to do with tactics (so it seems 30 skilled players were better than 50 rated players). Or he was wrong.

Switched to vanilla Shotgun 4Wr and we started winning.

Not checked so its perfectly possible I did something stupid and started a P at QB or something but suspect its. We lost the friendly cup as well though so its likely the change has generated the nerf everyone bug again for some reason.

No excuses , we'd been winning so no point in changing anything but figured we needed to do something as we were struggling to beat teams we should be beating. Will chuck the previous plan back and see if it fixes things.
