This draft was tougher than last year's with a lot of n00bs. I think this could be the beginning of sth special if we can keep the interaction and dedication shown last night going. Big bonus is that we all know each other from here!
My secret sauce was making me make some picks I never would have made (Jordan Matthews for example, just feels like bad news waiting to happen) but overall I am quite happy. Can we all u p d a t e our Trading Blocks so it stops you from making trades that will always be rejected. |

My first live draft ever. I am kind of happy with how it went. I had 4 picks in mind that where picked right in front of me by someone else in the round i wanted to pick them. 2 or 3 by the guy right in front of me haha.

Note to you all: I'll go beastmode on all your butts thought you did very well if that was your first ever draft..... that's why its very hard to have pre determined picks and wants - as you never know who will be taken. I tend to pick positions for rounds and then make decisions based on who is available....but even then its thrown when someone falls to you surprisingly or you feel you are reaching for someone you could pick up anyway in later rounds but that's the fun of the draft and why I think it crucial everyone attends.... agree with cheesehead....hopefully we can all see this season out and it be the start of a regular league between us all.  |

I'm all for this league to become an annual thing and yesterdays participation in the draft was very promising
and yeah, we were promised trades!  but its really early in the season (as in it hasnt started yet) and right now all of our rosters look pretty good and competitive. but just imagine, if we did this a week ago someone would have ended up with Edelman and Meredith, probably considering them starting options, both out for season by now (and with them 2 great midround value picks I missed dearly  so demand of top-production should increase over the season, as our rosters will dwindle down due to injuries.
right now trading would just make sense to correct draft mistakes or get a pet-player your a fan of, because besides very few picks at the top, everyone had a shot at the same players? but yeah, my fantasy logic might be a bit flawed
speaking of which I already regret my sudden inspiration to pick andrew luck in the 11th round... didnt know he is hurt again or still  and Austin Hooper as my starting TE... well you have to make some huge bets (with house money though) I guess  Last edited on 2017-08-30 23:08:09 by Buddy Ryan |

I am looking forward to talking smack and I am not going to take it easy on the ladies in the league.
 Fun draft, I had to use the basic lobby to chat was difficult but it was functional.
One thing. We have PPR scoring not standard scoring. Standard does not count a reception as a point. I read our league scoring right before draft so I switched to a ppr draft board so no harm for me but next year you might want to avoid possible confusion by not calling it standard scoring. |

Points Per Reception. You get points for every catch your RB/WR/TE make, which you don't get in standard leagues (which just count yards and TDs).

Not long to go now fellas! Unfortunately due to me needing to wake up at 5:45 for work and living in Europe watching the opening game live is not possible.
I'll be watching the Packers game though however. Update: I'll be watching the Browns game live though. EDIT: dammit, it seems that game has been flexed and is now on the latest kick off time
