I think we forgot the Bengals in the teams that sunk their OLine. They're coming to the ground so hard in the beginning of this season it serves them just right. I don't know how much time Marvin Lewis got left. Looks like forever ago that the Bengals got one of the most promising young offenses and an Elite D... yeah a few seasons ago they had one of the best coaching staffs too, but since losing Mike Zimmer and Hugh Jackson, they seem to regress |

Especially on offense. They were uninspired last season, and the loss of key lineman is making them look like a revival of the giants, without the great defense... I forecasted at the draft that going for John Ross and mixon in the first two rounds was an utter failure in waiting as the priority for the team was to plug the holes in the line. Now Dalton looks as bad as ever, the running backs all appear inefficient, and even AJ green doesn't look as he can carry them. I stand by my statement that they are becoming the new browns of the AFC North. |

Nunzio 'Andy Dalton' Simionato QB 46 31 10 32 113 3.6 0 5 4.57 3 0
Good move by the Bengals firing their OC, next job head coach and get Jimmy Bob Cooter in, not before the Packers whip them first |

I like how the Bungles have managed not to score a single touchdown in two games. Completely pathetic.

It's their offensive line. Only 1 of their RBs is averaging over 4 yards per carry (Bernard). Dalton is only averaging 6 yards per pass. They're currently ranked 22nd in the league in yards per game average. The new offensive coordinator must figure out what, if anything, they can perform well. Right now, the answer is nothing.

Giants are similar, hoping Gallman gets a chance in the next game and should be better offensively soon with OBJ.BUT until they get him back their offence is at similar level to Bengals, they'll still win games from their defence though, which Bengals cant.
Cant wait for Packers - Bengals, anything but a 30something - 0 win is disappointing |

Nah the Bengals were on that list of the worst O Lines I linked back on Page 3. Second to last actually. Bad priorities ... letting Whitworth out the door (3yr $33M deal from Rams), and resigning Burfict (3yr $32.5M), whose attempt to decapitate Antonio Brown in 2015, almost single handedly continued the streak of 26 years without a playoff W... Window snapped closed pretty hard right after that season: 2016 FA losses - WR Marvin Jones, WR Mohamed Sanu, FS Reggie Nelson, RT Andre Smith, CB Leon Hall. 2017 FA losses - LT Andre Whitworth, RG Kevin Zeitler Dalton QBR when protected 70.0 Dalton QBR when pressured 9.9 He's behind every single NFL QB in that stat, other than Mark Sanchez ... he is truly hideous when protection breaks down, not a good omen for the Bungles season. So yeah, probably time to fire Marv Lewis, but I'd axe that GM first ... Last edited on 2017-09-17 09:10:09 by Gambler75 |

Scratch that ... forgot the Bungles have an owner/president/GM all rolled into one. Maybe time to hire a real GM?
