Yay, I'm in the black! Unfortunately repairing my stadium would put me right back in the red. Though I'll delay that for a bit as I don't have any home games for a while.

The question is, do I sell more of my valuable players or do I use them as the spine in my rebuild?

Well, this question requires you to start some accurate financial planning: List your weekly income, expenses and so on and then calculate how long it will take until you are able to afford decent coaches again. This leaves you with two different outcomes:

a) It will only take a few weeks until you can reasonably afford decent coaches:

In this case I suggest you keep all your players and just sit out those few weeks until you get your coaches back. Based on the fact that you probably won't be able to afford new players for some time now (and therefore based on the fact, that you won't be able to improve your team that much during that period) you could consider to sell your older players, as they will be very old once your franchise is really up and going again, but that is something you have to analyze and decide on by yourself.

b) It will take several seasons until you can reasonably afford decent coaches:

In this case you should sell every player who has any value. Old players will (again) be very old once your coaches return and your (now) young players will have lost a lot of value due to their insufficient training.

I always try to float a nice round number 50mil 80mil 100mil etc. I'm not going to spend anything now until I have 100 million saved up

Seems a bit drastic to me. The tanking strategy is not required to play this game.

Just keep an eye on your finances and play the game as normal. Your overall team salary looks pretty low to me right now. So you should have no problem making a profit. My team salary is more than 3x yours, I run a premium academy, and I'll still make a profit this year...

Keep the guys you have and start building around them. You don't need to buy players. You can build your team completely from the draft and youth pulls. And I'm sure you can splurge and spend 25K on the transfer market if you really have a team need.

You are still paying 3-4 defenders 200k per update. You have to decide if they are worth that and the roughly 30m you might get for them (again, my estimate) or sell and train the next guys smarter. I would sell.

(In admirals) The mediacenter is easy money, but you need to have money to make money.

Question: Should I repair my stadium as I'm playing at home this evening, even though it'll take me back into debt by about 6 million? It's currently 8% condition? (Also on another note, what happens when it reaches 0% condition, does it collapse?)

RTFM

Starting from Season 6 there is a new element, called Condition of Stadium. If the manager has the rank of being a "Top Manager", this Condition of Stadium is going down by 2 percent for every game played at home, that is generating income - except Friendlies. The attendance gets reduced on gamedays when the stadium is in bad condition. A Stadium with 0% condition is reducing the ticket income to 50% - you see this is quite an impact.
You can fix your stadiums condition by going to the Stadium-section. There you'll find a repair-button, and an offer for how much the repair will be. The manager has to pay the amount of $20 per seat, $200 per Executive seat, and $2000 per VIP-Box. The total amount will be reduced by the condition-value. A 50% condition means 50% costs, the numbers above therefore are valid for 0% condition. All functions are working linear, so the math should be easy. Keep in mind: there is a Onetime Fee per Repair-session, it is $100,000. The repair of the stadium happens immediately on pressing the repair-button.

You have 2 home games this week - I would repair the stadium now and not worry, as the debt will now be temporary.

As it turns you need to have enough money to repair your stadium without going into debt, so that was pretty much a redundant question on my part. I doubt I'll get the 6.1 million I need tonight, or even tomorrow. Bummer.

Maybe you can put another player up for sale. Should bring in another 30M.
