Good game Bloodbeak, it was really close until half-time and then it seems that your team got tired or something

With our second gameday behind us, it's starting to become painfully clear for some teams that they are at the bottom of this RZA food chain.

In group A it's game over for the Bautzen Greywolves. Whatever was left of their pack was decimated by the vicious Budapest Wolves as they went down 58-7. The Hungarian fangs will now go head to head with the ones from Rome as the AS Roma Wolves got treated to a lost battle against the Wasteland Wolves 45-21. We would have to go back to Caesar to find another upsetting battle of this magintude where Romans were beaten by Belgians. It was Julius himself who over 2000 years ago said: Of all Wolves The Belgians are the Alpha male, and he seems to have been right!

In Group B the differences are even more clear. I don't think anyone is surprised to see that Sharks and Eagles are superior to Ducks and Jacanas. But it has to be said, the Ducks didn't go down without a fight, making the Sharks work really hard for their dinner (19-13). In the other game in this group we saw the Jacanas flirting with extinction in a very onesided battle against the Eagles (44-14). With our two quarterfinalist already known, there is only one question left in this group: can the Eagles survive a battle inside the shark tank and claim their place at the top of the food chain?

Yesterday also saw a murderous assault in Group C. In this assault the Wadenbeissers left the Drinker family bitten to shreds (48-13). These bloodthirsty ankle biters are getting stronger every week, thriving on the blood of their fallen opponents. In our other 6-legged game the Hebridean Midges seem to have lost their fighting spirit as they were buzzed aside by the evil Berinsfield Hornets in a 27-10 defeat. With little left to play for, the opponents in the other groups must be curious to see if the Wadenbeissers can add some more strength feeding of the Hornets or if the Hornets will leave another insect family decimated...

Mammal time! The Bear superiority in group D is already well established, although the Armadillos made their last game quite a hassle for the huge carnivores. If it hadn't been for the penetration (hehe) of their shield in the second quarter, this game would have been much closer than the 30-10 we saw yesterday. In the battle for surival in this group between the Tigers and the Boars we saw just how brutal those Boars can be. 24 hours laters they are still picking the last pieces of tiger off of their tusks as they crushed them 41-20. It will be interesting to see how those tusks fare against the heavily damaged Armadillo plates. Also, if you want to see a tiger in your lifetime, head to Vulcano Field in Austria, because I'm pretty sure the Bears are gunning for an extinction!

Months and months of 90% physical conditioning training, all for nothing!

Fortunately I care not for the value of these in-game credits, and will gladly donate them for the opportunity to prove to the greater jungle community exactly how ill-equipped the humble jacana is when it comes to fending off extinction. Three million years is a good run for any creature with little fighting capacity. The little things you learn in an online management game forum....

These write-ups are absolutely fantastic, it must be said.

I second that. I checked in today just to see if there was a write up. Didn’t see a preview

Top write-up!

Looking to go out with a bang, bite or at least something that suggests the Midges have crashed landed in the Christmas mincemeat with aplomb.... not a bomb.
